This is why employers fire people on the spot if they can manage. The culture of rot and spite seeps into workplace and everyone feels it. If you’re going to fire someone eventually, do it immediately!

This is correct. I ran my own company for 20 years and closed down due to labor issues during covid. I have had guys want to do 2 weeks notice and I think 1 out of about 5 worked out ok. I'm in a big company now and they had a foreman put in his two weeks notice and I told them to just let him move on and not hold him to it. They held him to the two week notice and he took his crew to his site and just squatted for about a week and a half before just leaving the job and not coming back until he turned in his stuff at the end of the second week. The job was now behind schedule, the crew fell apart and he pissed away a bunch of money on hours that nothing was done.

Gone are the days of loyalty or, at honor, among working men. Once they decide they are done, let them go. Harsin decided he was done, it is time to cut ties.

I am shocked there is nothing in his clause that they could let him go with warrant to get the buyout down.

I’d be fine with Harsin telling guys to quit if he was winning games, recruiting well, and had a great roster. Or, you know, clearly here for the next few seasons

But none of those things are happening. And I’d rather these guys have the opportunity the meet the next coach (assuming that happens before the transfer window) before they leave. And I’d rather the guys who want to stay or on the fence not to be burdened with guys being forced to quit to preserve their eligibility.

That’s where I’m at right now anyway

That is on the Administration as much as anyone. They are keeping him in the position and watching all this happen. They are the only ones that can put a stop to it.

Yeah, someone...anyone... HAS to step in soon and make a call. The wounds are only getting bigger. It's time to put Auburn above any petty power struggles and cut this cancer out of the program and begin to move forward.

If I were AD or whoever is overseeing him now, I'd quietly tell him nobody is allowed to be cut for wanting to redshirt and anyone who wants to is allowed to. I'd also have his schedule full and would be all over him if he misses anything.

We had a running back that instucted Gus not to burn his redshirt and his staff did so anyway. Gus’s staff botched that by accidentally burning his redshirt.

It was worse than that Jang. They did not realize he had already played in four games, they put him in for kickoff and there was a penalty. They pulled him back before it was replayed but it doesnt matter. According to NCAA if you play one play EVEN IF IT IS PLAYED OVER BECAUSE OF A PENALTY AND YOU WERE TAKEN OUT, you still burn the year.
