Maybe. Im more of a tequila snob than a bourbon snob.

My favorite honestly is just Woodford Resee. I probably drink it 90% of the time I drink bourbon

I have tried a few recommendations from Single Malt. Always up for recs.;;

What’s a good tequila to you? I had some Clase Azul the other night, and it was very good. Never been much of a tequila drinker.

Buffalo Trace is one my favorites too. But I’m drinking some Dettling tonight.

That is very good tequila. Very trendy right now but it is very good. The new Don Julio Rosado is very good as well. Actually all three of the Don Julio premiums are good.

Don Julio Reposado is very good as is the George Clooney stuff. Casamigos.

Biggest thing if you are just going to sip it, stay away from the very cheap stuff. If I catch you with a bottle of Jose Cuervo, I will be disappointed.

Basil Hayden and Yellowstone are my go to. The Clover is very good if you can find it. I was given a bottle of Weller 12 that is great.

I have never tried any of those. I have kept it pretty simple. I did get a bottle of Four Roses single batch select and Old Forester 1920 on SingleMalts suggestion. The Four Roses was good but strong. Haven’t opened the Old Forester yet.

Tequila hint and general knowledge. The Anejo's are muy-anos cask aged, the Reposado's sit for a while in oak barrels, and the Blanco get made and are good to go.

You pay accordingly and anything in a tall funny shaped bottle you might need to price before asking.

Me... I usually settle for the Don Julio 70.

..oops that was for Jamal

It’s solid. I honestly can not tell much difference in it and the Don Julio blanco. Very similar.

Have you ever tried the Don Julio Real? It’s the one DJ that I have never tried. For years it was $150 a bottle. Recently they announced they would discontinue it and now it’s $900 a bottle.

I guess I will die never trying it.

Singlemalt

guy on the food board needs some input on a bottle of bourbon he won and wants to sell so he can purchase a gun he wants. I told him about you and said I would try and get you to chime in.

Paddy Van Winkle 15, 2,000.00 bottle of Bourbon

Wish I had but at $900 a bottle that makes at least two who'll never know.

Me, I can taste the age in the 70 over their Blanco but that's why there's so many different takes on nearly the same stuff.

Use to hang with this lass, master dive instructor and she came up with this bottle of rum to sip on. Really good so we had a couple. Until she said this is from 18'something. It was salvaged from somewhere, long sunken and not found but bought. I immediately knew, whatever the price, we probably needed to slow down a bit. Hell of woman tougher than most men. Scottish, so why she's a lass.

I saw it, and replied, yeah 1500 quick money or 2k if you want to play hardball. Prices online are anywhere from 2k-6k . If I ever win the lottery here in OH (state run) just like ABC, I will open it right away. If he is not a bourbon guy he should keep,it for at least 5 years. That stuff could easily double in price by that point. I wouldn’t buy a firearm with it. Nothing against firearms but appeeciation of Pappy vs an AR15 is not close.

I prefer the 12 if I'm drinking it but they typically go for $100*age.

I might be doing something wrong but my alcohol doesn't stick around long enough to be collected. It rarely makes it through the weekend.

I'm sure Single Malt wouldn't mind inviting a bunch of us over to help him with his bourbon stash.

Just kidding - who in their right mind would want us touching their furniture?
