That’s cool. I am following the guy on the outdoor page who is building one in his garage. So much work going in to that.
What material is that? Is it glass?

Heavy layup of Carbon fiber, Kevlar, and S-glass since hoping it'll steep creek. . . 9 layers in total.
Been watching the guy on the Outdoor Board as well. He's doing really good with his. I haven't built anything in about 15-20 years but at last count had throw together over 60. Back when regularly competing being given boats was often enough that I stopped for a while. And now it's hard to find anything good so why not?
You get yours squared away?

TGIF - the wife is out of town tonight so Tito's and grapefruit juice are on tap and breakfast tacos or Tex Mex brunch tomorrow. Watching Bama and Kentucky tomorrow (she is the heathen Bama fan) and then Auburn in the afternoon and I will take more medicine from the lowly Falcons on Sunday. What are the weekend plans?

Doing a teriyaki marinade on some boneless thighs. Grilling them with some local sausage and heavy drinking.

Having a few friends over. May do some ribs and corn on the smoker. Maybe some poppers as well.
Been working hard most of the week. I did go to the gulf with my wife and friends Wednesday but 4 days is still a lot for a old man

Working hard this week. If you didn't know better you would think I am digging a basement. I had a broken pipe under my house. Nice old steel type. So a friend of mine and I dug out under the foundation to get to the pipes and see what is going on. Now I have a small area under my master bath that I could hide some stuff. Will have it all piped back in tomorrow. Then starts the filling in the big hole. Probably take me a few days to put it back in and tamp it down. Hope all of you folks have a great weekend.
Was quoted by a contractor ~25k to do it. Well costing me about 400-500 bucks plus probably 4.5 days of work for me.

The former is because you won't do the latter correctly.

Nah they would only tear up the entire bathroom. The way I am doing it, nothing gets hurt. The size under the bathroom is small and the concrete will hold just fine. The 25k is for the labor of tearing out a bathroom that is new as of 2018. There will be no way to match it if they rip up the floors again. And they might have missed the spot.
The concrete will be braced in an area and all will work out fine. Plus I get rid of metal for PVC. Also the guy helping me owned a coal mine and was a miner for years. No issues. No one really digs like this down here in FL, instead tear up the concrete floors if there ever is an issue and you have to find someone to put it all back together. With the building boom here in our area good contractors are booked almost a year in advance.
