Aren’t you the one who randomly told me to pump the brakes on Ashford?

Alpine. I’ll be here all day. Plan accordingly.

It was a general statement. It wasn’t aimed at anyone in particular in this thread or otherwise. Don’t get your panties in a wad over it. If it didn’t apply to you move on to the next post that does.

Great talent stockpiler, but not a great coach.
Was he though? We’re not exactly well represented on the offensive side of the ball in the NFL, to put it lightly. And it’s not like those defensive studs were coming to Auburn for Gus

I feel like we need to bring Bo Nix into the conversation too. Might make things more productive… ;)

No one has called for Gus to have been retained I think when the decision to move on everyone was good with it.
You have a poor memory.

People still think Gus recruited well even tho most of his 4 and 5 stars sucked dick. Especially on offense

He recruited stars, not fit and couldn’t develop the talent he had. QBs never progressed under Gus, most slightly regressed.

I am glad to see Harsin is getting those guys to "fit" his scheme, whatever that is.
Things are looking up. Cant wait for the rest of the season

Gus still sucks too. Doesn’t matter if Harsin does or not.

It looks like lunch pails and stadium steps. You know, work… hard work.

Gus sucks and so does Harsin. Harsin might suck more. But rooting for the least sucky guy is weird to me.
This program has been in a shite spiral long before Harsin arrived.

It is not going to get better either. Once they fire his arse this year, you guys can then talk about his payout. What is it anyway?
How much is a payout for a coach that has not won a singe big game and dismantled the program?
Did I hear the number right. 20 transfers out? Thats almost a full recruiting class.

Not sure if you watched the UCF game but almost none of those guys cracked the rotation at UCF… which also sucks.
Can’t understand the fascination with transfers that clearly weren’t going to do anything anywhere else but Auburn.
I’m not a Harsin fan but I’m struggling to understand the nostalgia for what we saw the last seasons with Gus.

I dont know what Harsin sucking has to do with Gus. You guys keep bringing him up, not me.
What does any of this have to do with Malzahn. He is who he is. I think we all know where we were with him. Harsin on the other hand may take us to new lows.

That part of the post didn’t have really anything to do with Gus. It was about the fact that a good portion of our players transferred to UCF and none of them are getting playing time, which is embarrassing that they were guys that either played a lot or were expected to play that can’t see the field on a much less talented team.
Kind of adds to your point that we are much worse off than most probably realize.
