The fact is though, Auburn has won 10 games in a season only 14 times in our history. Gus is directly responsible for 2 as a headcoach and partial credit for 1 as the OC. He is a part of ~25% of our 10 win seasons for the entire course of our existence and has a chance to make this season a 10 win season overall.

This is ridiculous reasoning. How many seasons over our history have we played 12 regular season games? We annually play one FCS team and 2 other OOC cupcakes. To obtain 10 wins, a coach merely needs to win the 4th OOC, go 5-3 in conference and win the bowl. It isn't close to the equivalent of winning 10 games in decades past.

Agreed. I would say AP Top 10 finishes or something would be a better thing to look at

If he beats Alabama we're going to be fine, and he's going to stay. Only a fool would fire a coach who wins 9 or 10 games with the toughest schedule in the country. And Allen Green is not a fool. We do have a lot of fools to our fan base however.

Don't come at me with Coach O stuff, what happens when burrow is gone and that OC leaves....he may reload....or he may go back down to where he was
Ummm...”where he was” was slightly better than Gustav is now. And he beat AU with Danny Etling in ‘17 and Burrow in his 1st SEC road game in ‘18.

I wish Gustav’s down years were that good.

This is 100% correct. IMO a 10 win season today is the equivalent of a 9 win season from years ago.

He is 0-10 in BR, Athens, and Tuscaloosa.

SC has beaten UGA more that we have in the last 10 years. He is 1 fluke play away from being 1-6 against Georgia.

Next year will be more of the same or worse.

He is our Mark Richt. And he participates in just as many UGA victories.

Reality
1a. It's our head Coach's fault that he wasnt able via his offensive guru status and what 3 offensive coordinator's to not create a system to develop QB's so a frosh would not have to start.
1b. It's our head Coach's fault that he and his oline coach can't recruit and develop road graders who could at least give us something close to a downhill running game he promised to have when he was hired.

Glad the AD went ahead and announced Gus is safe. Should help with concerns over recruiting.

I’ve given up hope Gus is going anywhere anytime soon. Hopefully he continues to recruit well so that the next coach can win immediately though.

And then gus responds with a trick play on 4th and 2.
