My comment wasn’t in opposition or support of Bates comments. I simply responded to the comment that said boosters.

I stand by my response. I will let the rest of you debate who deserves criticism or not.

Alright Tempered T! What did he say at that meeting and are we gonna improve in our NIL handouts?

Was it more of a pay for performance or just not pay at all?

Ultimately this looks worse on Daren Bates than it does Jimmy Rane or anyone else.

But I also seem to recall Daren loves to give hot takes on whatever gets him some publicity.

Daren Bates was a stud.

Bad to blast the program publicly like this.

Also bad to handle trying to run off Harsin so publicly like we did.

Plenty of directions to point fingers with the current state of the program.

Wanna act like a dick? Then expect to be treated like one.

Rane is a dick too, but he’s a dick that’s achieved 1000**1000 percent more in this world than Darren “I’Z A FOOZBALL PLAYAH!” fricking-Bates.

And if Rane and the people like him ever pull their money and influence OUT of the Auburn program, the BHB will wonder why Auburn is the new Vanderbilt and blame everybody but themselves.

I bet ol’ Darren LOVED the luxury Jimmy Rane’s $$$ provided him as an Auburn “student” (quotation marks intentional).

You over estimate the percentage of money donated by the few compared to the alumni base. Yes, it's substantial but it's not life giving.

Rane Lowder and Harbert has probably donated in the past 30 years as much as the entire alumni base has donated especially to the sports programs.

Plus then add in what they donate on the academic side.

I don't have a dog in the fight but Bates seems to have 1 awful take each year. Maybe this is his bad episode. I think I've watched maybe 4 or 5 of that podcast it's like a gangsta rap song turned into a talk show. And I liked gansta rap in the 90's.

That is most likely not remotely close to being correct.

Thousands of alumni donating Thousands per year. Not to mention the John Browns, the Neville's and countless others.

Your three are simply the most public.

A quick check shows just how wrong you are:

Auburn' largest public donors.

Where did you go Corch?

Oaks Society is donors of $1,000,000 or more beyond their TUF contributions.

Talon Society is donors of $500,000 or more beyond their TUF contributions.

Not sure what the requirement is for the Pat Dye Society as that’s new since last year.

I’d also say that I know of several that are anonymous donors that won’t show, but are members of these societies.

Just on the academic side Harbert has donated at minimum $55 million. Lowder minimum $25 million. Rane donated $12 million just for the Culinary Center.

$3 million for the Pat Dye Society and that is just for athletics. I posted about what the bare minimum donations on the academic side were for Rane, Lowder, and Harbert donations. Which you can probably add many millions more for smaller projects. And God only knows how much they have poured into the athletics side. We know for sure at a minimum $3 million

What I responded to was your athletic donations argument (you picked the brackets).

In response to your loss, you state academic donations.

ETA: Tim Cook puts money but privately.

Auburn gets about $200 million in donations each year. With each alumnus averaging less then $2k giving.

What loss are you talking about? They don't disclose specifics on athletic giving.

Don't even know what triggered you to call me out but if you think Auburn Football or sports would be where they are today without that group I listed then you and I live on different planets.

Yeah I've been a little quite the past couple weeks. that offseason is over and I'm ready for some football. But if you want to go down this pissing contest you know I won't back down. So you do you.

What a strange thing to argue about. Could I be wrong in that probably Rane, Lowder, and Harbert donate about as much as all the others. Maybe. Seen nothing to prove otherwise.

I'm sure the university is thankful for you $50
