Hugh has been a HC at the FBS level for 12 years now and has never developed a HS QB he has recruited.
Who do you figure to have developed Malik?

You call me a dimwit but you are clearly implying he has never developed his QB. Clearly false. The HS recruitment shite is meaningless by now. Who does Jville want? He wants a portal guy.
So why should I care about your concerns?

My comment clearly said HS QB. Not just QB.

Freeze is doing things his way and there is nothing we can do about that. How coaches normally behave in the second year means very little at this point. If Freeze cared to fill out some wins I am sure he would have done things differently.
How a coach does in year #2 is extremely important for a wide variety of reasons.
1) Any idiot (except Harsin) can recruit in year #1. Year #2 needs to show proof of concept (wins) in order to maintain recruiting momentum going into year #3. Because we are shitting the bed on the field, he will get negative recruiting out the arse next season. The same thing happened to Napier at Florida.
2) In the Portal era, signing elite HS classes is pointless without winning games. You need to win to keep those freshmen on your roster. You think Perry Thompson signed on to ride the bench on a 3-win team? A&M had an exodus of elite 5-stars when the on-field results didn't meet the sales pitch. I have a hard time believing that Freeze's sales pitch included a 3-win year #2.
3) The unwritten rule in the SEC is that your coach's future is evaluated after year #3 and a decision is made. Because year #2 is a flop for Freeze, he will by default go into year #3 on the hot-seat. This is NOT an advantageous position. For one, if he has to make coaching changes it will limit his candidates (who wants to come join a HC who might get fired at the end of the season?). Secondly, it affects your ability to attract top Portal talent. If I'm a QB with NFL aspirations and I have one season of eligibility left - am I hitching my wagon to a coach coming off a 3-4 win season in which the product on the field was a sloppy mess? Most of the players who are playing are his guys now - he doesn't get to use the excuse of "well we suck but its because I'm playing the last losers bad players".
So you basically seem to be making the claim that Freeze is a fool if you think that he truly doesn't care what happens in year #2.

You should learn to read the whole post. I clearly said that is fricking meaningless. Malik was a damn water boy for Auburn and Freeze put him in the pros. frick your arbitrary antiquated standards.

Do you even know the original comment I replied to? You need to keep up. The original comment I replied to was about HS QB development by Hugh.

Please read the original comment I was responding g to. It has nothing to do with what you are talking about.

Nahh I read it. But to think he didn't develop the transfers is stupid.

lol
He didn’t. He rode their natural talent.

I DGAF what he did at Miss (wasn’t that great)
I DGAF what he did at Liberty (lower level school).
He is 2-5 right now and has us at the bottom in year 2. Now matters.

Idk man. What he tells the recruits and the fans should line up and he tells us consistently it's gonna be slow. They could just be sold on being the legendary class of kids that brought auburn back.
