AU Fiscal Year 2012: Jay Jacobs made $850,241.63
FY '11: $842,866.30
FY '10: $592,751.94
Once he retires, resigns, is fired, etc. he will make $400,000.00+/ year- retirement system
When he took the job eight years ago he made around $225,000.00/year. Isn't that a 400% pay increase over that eight year period? How does one get raises like that?
Think he has earned it?

The best hire made under JJ admin was Cam Newton. And he did not make it.

No, I guess Cam Newton got him the raise from '10 to '11. I don't see what warranted the previous raises though.

Several posters on the Bunker are posting that there is going to be some sort of lawsuit filed against JJ and it'll cost him his job. It's probably messageboard BS, but who knows.

It's most likely bullshite.

for what? Emotional damages this season caused them?

Should be.
They are saying it's an AD employee, but again, that's probably just messageboard BS rumors.

I actually hope we keep Jay Jacobs involved with Tigers Unlimited. He needs to be gone as AD, but there is no denying that the guy is a master at fundraising.

JJ is expected to retire after he gets his 25 years in March. Not sure why I haven't seen this posted anywhere.

I still think we should hire the airport heckler guy as our next AD.

So JJ is a lame duck AD and Chiz is a lame duck coach?
That is really letting the fox in the hen house.

if this is true it could be the reason he isn't getting fired. let him retire peacefully and begin a new search

It is. It may not seem like it to us, but I believe they're trying to save as much face as possible with Chizik being replaced and all. The word is that Scott Etheridge is already on board to replace him, as has been rumored for a while now.

Please let this be true.....

I hope somebody brings a lawsuit that says JJ had sex with a goat. Whatever it takes to make this asshat go away along with everybody else associated with Auburn football at the moment.

I'm sure there are a few abused animals, spouses, and broken electronics around as well. Not just emotional damages.

Because that is not true.
JJ's first AU job was as the Asst Conditioning coach in 1985.
So he has been employed at AU for 27 years.

From AU's website bio about Jacobs:
That was 8 years ago.
quote:
Jacobs was named Auburn's 14th Director of Athletics on Dec. 22, 2004, after working in almost every area of the Auburn Athletics Department for the previous 20 years.
That was 8 years ago.
