This guy gets it.^^^

Not really. We can all pretend Frazier is in the mix because he suits up and gets snaps, but NO he is not in the mix. So let's stop pretending already...

I don't think he will either but what we think does not matter. Objectively he is in the mix until the staff says otherwise or leaked through those close to the program that he is out.

Cheers. I had read a lot that generalized what you're saying, but knowing specific incidents is much more illuminating.

Not pretending anything. I am just not taking anything for granted til the staff says something or many insiders leak the same thing.

Some dude said he'd suck someone's pecker if LSU signed (6) 5* recruits this cycle. This was before Brandon Harris signed and Bama was making progress with another two instate 5*'s. Now it looks likely.

Bro, I hear you, but I saw what I saw at the Spring game, and I can read the reports coming out and Frazier just doesn't have it. He either needs to go the way of Burns, or transfer. I have no reservations saying this at all.

eta: I like the kid and like someone posted earlier may have got the shaft early, but he is a lost puppy at QB. Sad story, but it happens.

I don't think he ends up winning it but there is a reason why he still is in the mix at all considerig how awful he was in the spring plus A day on top of being shitastic last seasona nd not being great this year. Gus wants him to succeed. I posted that a few weeks ago.

If I had to guess, Gus still sees the Kiehl from Springdale that was a stud in HS. Hard to let go of your first impression when it was so positive and saw so much talent. I'd imagine that Gus thinks he can still pull that talent out of him. If he can, KF has the talent to be a superstud.

Hard to imagine though that he would be blinded enough to overlook a JJ or NM

Also, do ya'll remember the HS documentary about Frazier and his path to hopefully the pros? Man, does that look stupid now

Yeah, I get that, but it doesn't change what I posted. It only tells me Gus is a man of character and trying to help the kid as much as he can. He felt he owed it to him I guess.

Frazier's talent isn't the issue. He has it in spades, he just has no mental game for whatever reason. As good as Gus may be I don't think Frazier can turn that around in Auburn. Maybe in a new setting it is possible, I don't know but not at Auburn.

We interpret that differently KF being in the game makes me think that Gus needs to do a better job of not letting his emotional and personal life getting involved with the W 's

I agree with this. Nobody has ever argued talent with KF, just mental. I was actually hoping we got Petrino for that reason. You need a headcase to fix a headcase

You'd think a guy who got the mass amount of attention he got in HS would know how to retain his bowels on a college field

It would be interesting to know what the problem is. He always seemed quiet and reserved in all interviews I saw, which made me wonder if he has the right personality to be QB. To be fair, JCam was also sort of quiet but he still exhibited leadership.

I can't remember a game where Frazier just got mauled by an opposing defense. I know he got knocked around some, but I am not recalling any game where he got hit hard and often enough to cause him to fall apart mentally.

Shame because I had high hopes for him coming in. I remember a picture that his dad (GenesChin?) posted showing him posing with Cam and the Heisman.

I was told that Frazier just never seemed to be able to understand where his receivers were going to be on the field and then when he could put that together, he could never read a defense

There must be something in the water in Arky. That seems like a problem with every Arky High School QB.

I guess we do because I believe a coach can do both. I believe he see's it as an integrity issue and not just hollow promises made in a living room during recruiting. I don't believe he is compromising his overall mission of winning if in fact those are his reasoons for giving Frazier reps.
