I took it as a goof. But I would actually love to see Frazier transfer out and get a chance to play and do well. I really do like the kid and think that in the right circumstances he could do well.

I hated the way they burned his freshman year in a psuedo-bullshite way and actually hindered the offense by swapping quarterbacks unnecessarily.

I don't see why most are jumping to the conclusion that the qb race is between Marshall and Johnson based on them getting the majority of the reps in a scrimmage focused on getting reps the for 2's and 3's.

When the position isn't won yet, you don't sit someone for most of the scrimmage if they have a good shot at winning it.

Also, the pick that reportedly Wallace threw today may have actually been Frazier. Bryan Matthews said he heard Wallace first, then was told later that it was Frazier and he tends to believe the latter. If so, yeah he's done

It's not only based on this scrimmage. It's based on the info that was coming out before the scrimmage + the scrimmage. Plus the whole scrimmage wasn't for 2s and 3s. The only 2s and 3s that played are the ones behind someone who is an established starter.

You don't waste reps on just 2s and 3s when you have a QB race on going.

Backup OLine was supposed to be in (they would be included in established starters).. So Slade probably didn't play.

Don't know if she's as connected with the new staff but AU girl7 on AUC posted today that the race is down to NM and JJ.

She has decent stuff and that seems to be the prevailing consensus.

I more wanted to voice my displeasure with Chad Slade starting . I want to see Danzey/Diamond in there :

Also, what is up with people on the bunker making stupid as shite predictions and following it up with "You heard it here first" Predictions such as
quote:

Dyer will be in New York You heard it here first.

The bunker has got to be some of the most naive Auburn fans out there. I'm pretty sure my girlfriend who doesn't know the difference between a running back and defensive tackle isn't even that naive

Garner is not happy and it seems he was not using coach speak the last time we discussed the DL and he definitely is not in these quotes AUC.

quote:

“I think we’ve got a lot of work to do,” Garner said. “I was disappointed in the scrimmage. I think we went backwards and that’s something we can’t do. It’s unacceptable.

“For us to be a good defense and for us to be a good football team, we’ve got to be good upfront.”

Garner listed physicality, intensity, effort and assignment as areas lacking from his defensive line. Not surprisingly, Garner has let his defensive linemen know, quite vocally, of his disappointment.

FWIW those comments were made before today's scrimmage.

Yes I saw that, but we had a discussion about the DL on a prior RG comment. We were wondering if it was coach speak or not and I was sharing with the rest it was no coach speak.

Thanks though Sig...

I know you'll like this…

Posters on 247s board were talking about the NFL potential on our OL, and almost all of them thought Slade is a pretty safe bet for the NFL

So he pretty much listed every aspect of their game for the DL

quote:

Chad Slade Safe Bet NFL

I'm sure he will get signed somewhere (If Neiko Thorpe can do it...) but to think that slow motherfricker is going in the draft is stupid. Unless he pulls a Forrest Gump and realizes he can run all the sudden, he sure as frick is not getting drafted
