Tre is so underrated. He gone surprise a lot of ppl this year. The only tool he doesn't possess is power, but at 5-10 205 he's no marshmallow either.

I don't remember the first guy tackling him much at all last season

Ellis J. speaking about Lawson and Daneil

quote:

You can see their upper-body strength and their quick-twitch (ability)

quote:

I don’t want to put any pressure on any freshman. But they’ve shown some really impressive things so far.

quote:

We’ll just have to see if they end up being ready to go. Sooner rather than later we hope

quote:

“I think our older guys have improved, but I think those two young guys are bringing some natural abilities that can make them better

From SDS

quote:

Johnson compare Jadeveon Clowney and Lawson as freshmen. He coached Clowney as a freshman before leaving South Carolina for Southern Miss. While Clowney’s so explosive, Lawson is much more developed and looks like he’s 25.

quote:

Lawson and Daniel are competing with Dee Ford, Nosa Eguae and Kenneth Carter, who moved from tackle to end. Even with Auburn building depth in the trenches, you can bet we’ll see these two freshmen make an impact in 2013.

If Frazier wins, he wins. While he didn't do well last year, there's no reason why he can't succeed in an offense he's been in for forever.

We'll see.

I wouldn't surprised to see Marshall win out either.

I've got more confidence in Gus and his decisions than 100% of this board.

Like I said in the QB thread, I'll continue to believe Marshall will be the starter until someone else is officially named starter

1. He consistently misses wide open receivers...badly

2. He struggles completing screen passes

3. Panics anytime there is anything that slightly resembles a rush

There I gave you three

We need a "soon" on that pic of him in practice.

Frazier does not have the mental stability to start.Every video clip I've seen he continues to stare at the ball or stare down one receiver until he gets sacked or the pass is batted down.

Is that what those are?... looks like ankle weights... If Carl is playing with ankle weights he really is the 2nd coming of Clowney.

I don't think there is anything wrong with him saying he is more developed. Clowney had a taller frame if I remember correctly and really has grown into his body over the years

Carl Lawson is already bigger than lemonier was his junior year. Lawson really does look like an upperclassman as far as being physically developed. He looks like a grown adult to be honest

Is he gonna be as good as clowney? Time will only tell and we can only hope

Some amazing QB coaches we have as members of this forum.

I can't imagine why y'all ain't making hundreds of thousands of dollars like other SEC QB coaches.

I'm with you. I figure the coaches know what's best and if that is "Deer in the Headlights Cam", "JuCo JuCo Cam", "Should have gone to S. Alabama Cam", "Mr. Alabama Football Cam", or even "Dad used to coach at AU Cam", I believe the coaches will put the player on the field who gives us the best chance.

I mean, I agree...but this is a college football team board. If we're not armchair coaching during a QB race, I don't exactly know what everyone is supposed to talk about.

I'm not surprised Frazier is a contender. He's been running the system since spring (unlike Marshall), and it's - what - day 6 of Fall practice? If he's named the starter, I won't fall apart unless I see him throwing interceptions and sacking himself during the Washington State game.

Unless Frazier got his mental game back, I don't see it happening. He's got all the physical tools, though.
