QB1 is done. You all know it. I'm now more interested in 2-deep, not only for QB, how that's going to play, but everywhere else. Official and all.

Some of this has already been said but here is a comprehensive of everything I have seen today.

Per AUR
-at QB Nick with the ones. JJ took the first snaps with the twos, but JW took most of the snaps with the twos.
- At LB Cas and Jake were the main guys with the ones.
-WRs struggled to get open against man D.
-Louis was balling,
-Garrett was out of the boot but didn't play.
-King was working at star.
-Gimel and Delaine worked with the twos at DE.

Per 2 donors account
-Pat Miller worked at 1st team RT
-Keihl will see significant action at Safety.
-The D worked primarily out of the Dime (Wazzu Prep)
-Saw Marshall get sacked three consecutive times in drills bc he held the ball too long
-Wallace made good decisions on when to run and when to throw away
-Marcus Davis played a good bit today and had a few catches
-Ellis Johnson was very active coaching every Lb rep in warmup
-Cam toney is much bigger than I thought. He made calls for second team d.
-Carl went with 1s and 2s in warmups. Then he made a mistake of some sort of mistake and played sparingly after. He got absolutely locked up by Greg Robinson once. Garner is tough coaching. Lawson beat Leff on subsequent play. He looks really aggressive.
-Whitaker no progression at all. Exact same level of play. Also disappointed by Gabe Wright.
-Jeremy Johnson is going to be as big as Cam. He's huge. It looks like he runs the offense w more ease than Marshall.
-We ran a crossing slant!!
-Whitehead makes calls for DBs w the 1s.
-Kris Frost had an excellent day. Had a pick. Very vocal on field. He good.
-Elijah Daniels is aggressive. Quick hands.
-Tre mason beat Holland on two consecutive screens in the 2 min drill.
-CAP is a big ************.
-Ricardo Louis is the best receiver we have. Great runner after the catch.

I wonder why if JJ is way above JW that JW is getting the 2nd team reps. If JJ is that good he should be a clear #2 at worst and not be redshirting. Surely Gus doesn't already have JJ listed #1 and waiting to see if NM does something to change his mind.

Noteworthy tweets

Malzahn said Kiehl Frazier working at boundary safety, said "there's a good chance" he'll play in the first game. Interesting.

#Auburn H-back Jay Prosch says he hasn't carried the ball much in fall camp, but he's "caught a bunch of passes." Prosch is intriguing.

Ryan Wood ?@AUBlog 1m
Uzomah said Kiehl Frazier will be "big-time threat" for D: "I think he looks really well. Just because he's a QB, so he knows schemes."

Ryan Wood ?@AUBlog 2m
Uzomah said Wallace is a "more cerebral guy" at QB, while Marshall and Johnson can improvise better when play breaks down.

Ryan Wood ?@AUBlog 5m
Uzomah said Jonathan Wallace knows all the protections and schemes well, while other 2 are "rusty with offense in general," but extend play.

As Hoke & JGT said yesterday it looks like the staff is planning to RS JJ.

LOVE this guy and how firm he was with us all through his recruitment and coaching change. Rooting for some "Josh Bynes" like success/play from him in the future.

The consensus opinion is the staff doesn't want to burn JJ's redshirt. If NM gets hurt for an extended period of time, then we will likely see JJ on the field. But if NM stays healthy, we'll see JW in mop-up duty so JJ can keep his redshirt.

NM is the real deal. Our line looks much bigger. We ran two minute offense, amazing how many plays they got off so quickly. Do not remember a run, one pass to Mason. The indoor facility is very nice, better than I thought. We got run out at 11:05.

Awesome that JW is cerebral and understands protections and schemes. If only he had the talent to go with it. It is quite obvious he does not since he isn't in the discussion for starter. Marshall will be named starter before the weekend is up or sooner and Wallace will be a big help on the sideline and watching film.

If CJ's any indication, the players will be quite delighted with Nick. There's a whole lot he wants us to know about Nick but just can't for some reason tell us. Maybe later.

It's quite obvious JWall doesn't have the talent because he doesn't have the talent.
