I haven't watch a lot of aTm honestly but the amount I have watched this is what I've concluded.

Their OL has improved a lot over the course of the year.

The QB is settling in but still inexperienced.

They have 2 really good running backs.

WRs are talented and probably one of the best TE's in college football.

Defensively they are stout. They have talent at all 3 levels.

How I think we match up. The game in general will come down to yards per play and 3rd down conversions. They match up very well against some of the things we try to do offensively. The toss from under center probably won't be run near as often as it was this past week. We will have to be able to block and run the ball in between the tackles. So Council Brahms and Jones better put their big boy pants on and come out ready to dominate.

Their offense will play to some our weaknesses as well. They will be able to set the edge if we don't play with sound fundamentals. Our LBers also have to play fast and free so Big Tony Fair will be very important this game. Watch for these keys. If Owen and Zakoby are having to fight off Guards to try to get outside or fill run lanes could be for some long drives.

Winning first down on both sides will be very important. The good thing is if both teams are 3rd and medium I think Bo has been playing well enough that we can convert and not sure Jimbo trust Calzada enough yet to keep putting the decisions in his young Qbs hands.

A four man front can help alleviate trash in our linebackers faces. I dont know too much about A&M but we have to win the line of scrimmage. Unlike Ole Miss these guys can run the ball in the red zone.

We are a 3 man front but drop a LB Hall/TD/Eku always down on the line making it appear to be a 4 man front. Either way Tony has to win his gap responsibility more often then not.

What we don't want is to be out leveraged on the edges. So being sound inside helps with that. I know it sounds weird but you play defense inside out. String the play out and gang tackle

Even if we played aTm at home this is a bigger challenge than Ole Miss. They have top 3 lineman in the SEC on both sides of the ball. Their QB is not productive or efficient. I think the key will be stopping their running game. If I see it, then the coaches see it. Its not brain surgery.

Sometimes easier said then done. Yes I agree. We matched up very well against Ole Miss. Not so much against aTm.

I expect game much like Penn State. They executed better then we did. And probably whoever executes the best in this up coming game wins.

Bama stopped their running game and that young inexperienced QB won the game with his passing and A&M’s D coming up with stops at key points.

We will still need to stop rushing but do enough to interrupt the passing game.

Bama’s Young threw all over them but they had no rushing TD’s, but they had 3 FG’s so it should tell you A&M’s is stout in and around the RZ.

Aggies are playing really good football but we are as well so this is a really cool matchup and the winner will be who makes the least mistakes and executes their assignments the best.

This game will really be a great barometer of how far we have progressed as a team. If we can come out with a win, it will create a lot of confidence for this team going into the final 3 games.

This is a big time matchup and I feel we can win.

One thing I believe is in our favor is I feel what’s even better having a bye week before a big game, is having one game to wake everyone up and get some of the hiccups out of the way going into another big game. I give that advantage to us. A&M will be rested but we will still be ready to go and not tired from playing several games going in. I hope I’m right.

Yeah, if we are lucky they will have take a bit for them to get in rhythm.

We need to be really efficient. A&M will not leave all the points on the field like Ole Miss did, we just need to keep them to 3 points most times they reach the red zone.

This is a talented A&M team. I have no doubt it will be tough, but if the offense plays like it did in the first half against Ole Miss, I think we can get the win.

I honestly think these two teams are pretty even, and it should be another good game.

From a talent stand point, we are both very similar, unlike the huge gap between us and UGA/Bama, and the gap between us and Ole Miss/Arkansas. So it will most likely come down to game plan and execution.

Defensively, both teams are very solid. Auburn has improved a lot on that side of the ball and we got some big pieces back last week. Auburn is a little more bend but don't break, so A&M has the advantage in total yards, but in conference play Auburn's defense is giving up 24 PPG compared to 22.5 for A&M. Both rush defenses are very solid and ranked 34th and 35th, respectively.

Offensively, both teams run a more pro-style offense, focused on the run game and play action. Neither team runs a very up tempo offense; Auburn averages 70 plays per game compared to 66 for A&M. Both teams average just under 200 yards per game rushing, however A&M has had more success in SEC play. A&M's oline struggled more early on, but appears to be improving as a unit, while Auburn's oline has been consistent most of the year and a pleasant surprise.

I think the main advantage Auburn has in this game is at QB. Calzada played by far his best game of his career against Alabama. In his other 4 SEC games, he is averaging 155 yards, 54% completion, and 5 TD's to 4 INT's. He has thrown an INT in every SEC game this year. Jimbo is still protecting him and is going to lean on the run game as much as he can. Bo has been playing some the best football of his career the past month and I expect that to continue.

A&M has an advantage with the game being at home coming off a bye, but I think the advantage at QB is way more important. If we can slow the A&M run down, and avoid costly turnovers (like we had in the Ole Miss game) I think we pull away in the 4th quarter. Outside of the UGA game this year, we have outscored our SEC opponents 27-0 in the 4th quarter.

... so a good stepping stone in the path to Bama and Georgia II.

Just looking at some games from them they do look pretty good but has anyone looked at their schedule? Outside of beating Alabama they have loss every game they have played against good competition. Their last two was against Missouri and South Carolina and they are both bad. Not saying we're going to win but I don't believe they are as good as a lot of people make them out to be.

They have a team full of talent though. That game against Bama is kind of huge as well.

I think they finally clicked is the point I make. You need to remember they lost their starting QB early and the new kid has been trying to find his legs.

I hope the Bama game is an outlier, but I don't put much into the early losses and play.

Best that can said about A&M is

Which team will come out the tunnel Saturday?

They struggled against UCLA and against Colorado.

Then misfired against Miss State and Arkansas

So, who will we face Saturday? The giant killer that beat Bama? Or the lambs that played Arkansas?

Auburn and aTm are both playing better at this time compared to earlier in the season. I think we will have most of our players available for the game. They should be rest and healed up from the bumps and bruises. Teams appear to be fairly equal in many ways.

With all that said if Bo continues to play like he has been then I think we can pull it out. I think scoring is going to be higher then expected. I'm gonna go 31-23 AU. WDE boys!!!

Bama's pass coverage has also been suspect most of the year and gave A@M breaks. We also saw that previously in their game against Tenn. I know they still have to hit open guys but I'm confident if we can limit their backs some without safety help we should hold their Wr's tight. I just hope we dont come out really lose on defense as we normally do. Something tells me they are gonna have to get after these guys. As previously said linebacker play will be a crucial part of this game.

I hate to break it to you, but it's called a trend for a reason. We'll likely be pulling our hair out in the first half and will see some great adjustments in the second half.

We just have to hope that we don't give up too much before we make those adjustments.
