I’m all for signing Juju but if we don’t doesn’t mean we aren’t building a championship type team. He’s just one important piece. Last year was the same hype. Walker White was the piece. Plus the WR class. This year it’s the OL, DL, and possibly QB. I think Auburn can win with Juju, Lacey, or Hawkins.

He isn’t just one important piece, Julian is thought of in a lot higher light than Walker was/is. This class is JuJu or bust from a competition standpoint because you might have to portal a QB instead

I am not going to cry too hard about Juju since he is being heavily shopped around and some parents see the value of shopping every year.

Yes that’s how you build a team. Just give a 17 year old anything he wants. Guaranteed starting spot. No competition.

Not saying we shouldn’t do everything to get this kid but giving him everything he wants like we can’t compete without him is just wrong on every level.

Yall do realize how many can’t miss 5 star QB busts there have been, correct? If not I can get a list together if needed for emphasis.

The Freeze staff has turned the corner. Should Lewis decide to play closer to home, this will be the cherry on top of the cake. He has the final say.

Thinks he stays with USC. Just don't know which way his dad is leaning. It is known that his dad will make the call.

I've heard he's wanting to be more of an under center, pass-centric QB and Hugh is known for RPO while Riley develops passers at a school known for them. I'm hoping proximity to home and enough money can change his mind.

Let’s see what Riley does in a league that tries to play defense. He’s been in the Big 12 and the PAC. All teams in those leagues score 40 a game and throw for 3000 yards.

Bet he’s gone to the NFL in 3 years.

That’s no knock on Riley at all but similar to Leach put up massive numbers in the Big 12 and the PAC. Came to the SEC and got his arse handed to him

Why can’t we do both? Build a team and sign a program changing QB?

I’m not sure everyone understands how talented this kid is. He is a difference maker and we need that at QB. I don’t get it.

Julian Lewis is going to be really good but sure I’ll bite. Would you please compile a list of the last 15 5 star QBs out of Georgia? Might be an interesting view

Well you suggested giving Julian " whatever he wants"

Unlike popular opinion we dont have unlimited resources, so that extra we give will have to come at the expense of something. We need to open the pocketbook but it shouldnt be absurd, let's say more than what local hero Broome is making. That's just retarded.

How's BBN these days?

Here’s your list of 5 star QBs out of the state of Georgia since 2012. I got bored looking at that point…

Juju Lewis
Riola
Vandagriff
Trevor Lawrence
Justin Fields
Davis Mills
Brice Ramsey

I see your point guaranteed success if you are a 5 star QB out of Georgia (sarcasm should be noted) 3 of the listed QBs have never taken a meaningful snap. I’ve never even heard of Davis Mills and Brice Ramsey so I’m sure they tore it up on the field. That leaves Lawerence and Fields for your side of the argument. Trevor was great in college he had a lot of what Juju will have if he comes to Auburn young big hungry wide receivers.

Do you think on his wish list is to be named the starter, given the position without any competition? No. That makes zero sense. I’m talking about giving him what he’s asking for in a reasonable manner, not to the detriment of everything else

So you’re going to include the players who haven’t played yet? As part of the analysis? Come on Coach. .. I’m not making a crazy argument here. We need a QB of Julian’s caliber in order to compete with the best and we are building up a great team regardless, but without him and his potential impact, I’d think we’d be missing out on something great. This is the first time in this recruitment of his, that I really feel we have a chance and if we happen to land him, we will have a top 3 class nationally
