Good don't cut it.
Good isn't good enough.
42 million goods to go.

Another difference is I see guys like Wiley developing and getting better on the basketball team. I’ll hang up and listen to the Gus suckers try to tell us who he’s developed.

Comparing the two sports is dumb. The SEC in basketball is nothing compared to football. Baseball is much more comparable to Football. Same challenges to win there.
The players themselves are waaay different. Football players development requires a whole new level of weight training etc compared to basketball. It’s a warrior sport and so much more can impact development.
Gus runs what seems to be a very clean program, is always preseason top 25, and only about 3-4teams in the country have consistently been better than his during his tenure.
Expectations aren’t in the same stratosphere.
But yea, Bruce is one of a kind personality and there aren’t many coaches in any sport that can do what he does in marketing and personality. He makes Saban look like a little turd when it comes to that.

Not an official list, but just teams that I thought of off the top of my head and looked up. They have all won more games than AU during Malzahn's tenure.
Alabama
Georgia
LSU
Clemson
Ohio State
Oklahoma
Oregon
Stanford
Washington
Michigan State
Wisconsin
Florida State

that's about right. We are a mid-level top 25 team under Gus(although we fall farther at the end b/c we can't win the bowl games).
And all the top 6 teams have made the playoffs at some time. We made it once(before the current playoff format).

I have stopped giving credit to Gus for 2013 (in terms of his current standing as a coach).
He is no longer that guy.
