Alright so the NCAA record is 530 by former Navy QB Keenan Reynolds, and the NCAA record for a kicker is 494 by Zane Gonzalez of ASU who won the Groza last season and is #4 all time
Realistically, how close can Carlson get?
Right now he's tied for 20th all time. Top 10 is basically assured at this point as he only needs 27 points to break the top 10.

#5 is 468 points. Carlson needs 35 more points to get there. With 5 more games (bowl included) he only needs to average 7 points per game. Very doable.

Carlson is #7 all-time at 462 points. 7 more points will put him at #5 all-time. He needs 33 more points to pass Zane Gonzalez to become the most prolific kicker in college football history, and #4 all time.

Correct, now in the top 5 all time in NCAA history! If* AU makes it to the NC game, Carlson would need 8, 8, and 9 to be #4 and the top scoring kicker of all time. It has to be destiny, right?
