I have not rewatched them game yet so this is going off live viewing so I’m sure I have missed somethings.
Coaching - I think coaching was the biggest difference in the game. Great adjustments on both sides of the ball at the half and hope those can become quicker adjustments over the season. AU’s staff didn’t panic and I think UK’s did.
Sad to say but if we’re only allowed 22 players for each team I’m not sure UK doesn’t win. I think our top 25-50 is so much better then theirs it made a big difference late in the game. I think that is only because of experience and not talent.
I was very impressed with Wooden even undersized he played a lot of snaps inside. Walker got in and looks good but needs experience. Truesdell and newkirk did what was expected of them and I absolutely loved Newkirks hustle this game he keeps that up he will make some plays. The DE’s and bucks were absolutely horrible the first half way to easy to move and block and provided no rush at all. They have got to get much much better.
Linebackers were studs for the most part they overran a couple plays but that’s hustle and real game speed things. I think the linebackers had something like 30 tackles.
DBs had a coupe busts but that I think was on Smoke but just being to anxious to make something happen and I think they both happened in the first half. Tackling by the DBs is still very good and the corners played well.
OL is a cluster. Jackson got flat assed at least 3 times I saw. Council is definitely the only starter quality guy we have at the moment. Brahms with his experience shouldn’t be having 2 bad snaps late in a game. Bro Hamm was not moving his feet on blocks was just trying to push with his hands and not bringing his feet. But as bad as our defensive ends looked maybe Jackson and Hamm looked good in practice.
Bo and Seth were money. Seth can hot dog but he needs to hot dog away from the opposing player he’s gonna get flagged I a big game because of the high emotions. Great game by him. Looks faster and running better routes. Nix has got to stop bailing out of the pocket that is actually there. You’re not an elite QB until you are willing to take a hit to the face to complete a strike for a 3rd down conversion in a big game. He’s more accurate this year and stronger but the drift throws are not good. He said in postgame that he likes those throws because of angles but I disagree.
It doesn’t matter who the running back is unless we start getting getting push up front.
I liked the confidence Gus showed in the offense early going for it in FG range but take the points next time our OL is a long way from being good. Take the points play to your defense.
The tempo of the offense is much different the play calling is much different. Chad seems to have autonomy as a play caller so far.
At this point I still think we are 8-2/7-3 type team and are probably facing a better team next weekend. Their defense is legit. Here’s to improvements and lots of UGA turnovers next week. War Eagle!!

Especially before the fourth quarter.
Carlson will make 98% inside of 40 yards. Take the points.

He definitely bailed some, but there were also times he actually stepped up and threw strikes. The one to Stove on an out route with a man in his face was beautiful. Still needs to improve on it, but I’m encouraged.
OL looked uncomfortable and hesitant. Jackson definitely looked nervous.
I think I saw that 3/4 of our leading tacklers were the LBs, which is fantastic. Smoke was the other 1/4.

UGA may very well win, but their O is terrible.
