What the hell happened? I been at a church program. We raid Baylor for coaches? Ok fair, the last guy raided South Carolina.
Roberts was at Delta State and mentored Aranda, no? My second favorite college mascot (behind Aubie): The Fighting Okra

Freeze said he wanted an Xs ànd Os coordinator that ran an aggressive attacking defense. That's pretty much what this guy is. He has a pretty impressive coaching tree that includes Aranda and Golding. He was also a successful head coach at the D2 level. We'll see how it works out

What is indisputable is Roberts’ last year was an unmitigated disaster and Aranda got rid of him despite both coaching together back at…. Delta State.
Based on Liberty’s defensive stats and seeing that Baylor was first w/in conference in forced turnovers in 2021, 4th w/in conference in 2022 that Freeze is gunning for a high QB pressure/ high turnover defense.

They were middle of the pack in the Big 12… 4th in YPG and YPP… 4th in Turnovers gained… 5th in scoring Defense… 3rd in rush defense (both YPG and YPR)
It wasn’t great… but far from ‘unmitigated disaster’ or whatever hysterical bullshite you threw out there.

I tend to agree. I have a feeling he is going to use tempo more here than he did at Liberty, although maybe not quite as much as he did at OM. Gonna want an aggressive defense to complement that

He said Mason’s defense was a disaster and I reciprocated. Bless your 14 year old hearts Mason’s defense gave up 23 points a game. Robert’s gave up 28 and you have an issue with my post? You’re nuts.

It’s hard to judge Bobo. I’m not sure It wasn’t Harsin that made it look like a bad hire. There are reports Bobo and Harsin got into it because Bobo called Harsin out on how he handled, or didn’t handle, recruiting.. I’m not saying Bobo was the next spurrier, but he is definitely a competent OC
