Nothing to do with Arnett, the player leaving is a RB and was injured quite a bit. Apparently Leach had a private meeting with him and told him he wasn't tough enough or needed to get tougher or something.

The player opted for the portal and sent a open letter to fans and teammates. At the end he said Leach doesn't think he is tough enough. I'm sure he will land somewhere great sending a parting shot about his current head coach

Leach should’ve locked him in the equipment shed

Are we sure he told his player that he wasn’t tough enough in private. Leach is all the time making comments about their toughness in public. One time he said his team was more concerned about their fat girlfriends or something.

No, I'm not sure he did, but that is what his player is claiming and why he is leaving.

Leach is a national treasure.

If the RB isn’t tough enough for an air raid offense then I believe the coach!

Arnett has a 2 million dollar buyout.

The money guys got their head coach. If he wants Arnett then they need to pony up.

I can’t find anything on the number but there was a buyout included in his latest extension. The article I read said the buyout was “to make it difficult for other teams to poach him” or something along those lines.

Are you sure, many times folks/media quote the University Buyout if they fire a coach as equal to the buyout if the coach leaves on his own accord. Example, Saban owes nothing if he leaves, but the University owes him 100% of his contract.

Also from TOS
Probable Monday or Tuesday before we know. Auburn is focused on recruiting through early next week.

Same thing Marcello is saying on 247. He's still interviewing but right now the focus is on recruiting this weekend. Should have the interview process finished by Monday evening and expect some answers Tue or Wed

Makes sense. The coaches are fricking going at it right now. I sure hope all their work begins to pay off.

Wouldn't be a bad experiment / try if he had a hand in recruiting all those D linemen for UGA (I have no idea) and could do somewhat (obviously a level down) the same for Ark.
