First off, since when is 9.5 more than 11.7? And you never answered my question. Why am I supposed to imagine Kiffin leaving Auburn tail spinning when he is actually doing well.
I don't know where you are getting 9.5 from. The number I'm going off of is "9 figures", which is what the OP stated. You questioned my math, but hey pot, you might want to get out that calculator. PLUS....do you or anybody else on this planet really believes that Saban will be coaching until he's 79 years old? That's what would have to happen for him to collect his contract.

He is doing well now at Ole Miss. What does the Conference USA have to do with anything?
I'm starting to think, all that tuba playing might have left you a little brain damaged from a lack of oxygen. In Kiffin's illustrious career, going all the way back to being the youngest HC in NFL history, he has won 1 championship as an HC. That was the Conference USA at Florida Atlantic. He would've had a natty ring from his stint as OC at Alabama, but he QUIT the week before the game. Let that sink in......He QUIT before the national championship game, to pursue his new gig at Florida Atlantic.... a job he QUIT in the 2nd year OF HIS 10 YEAR CONTRACT. Need I remind you about him QUITING at TN, too?

With these clickbait dirtbags that post the latest “insider news”, it’s like the devil standing in front of you with a cupcake. You know he’s evil. You know he lies, you know he’s a deceiver, but he holds that cupcake out and asks if you want it it and you grab it up. Then you take a bite and it’s a moldy muffin with feces on it.

Me when Prime is announced as our new coach

That's not something I heard, but totally believable! I mean, who puts there twitter handle on the the back of their gameday gear to stalk the sideline. You "Prime" guys bought into a great marketer......he'd probably be a very good used car salesman.

Indeed.

This new A.D Cohen goes after very smart candidates.

Moorhead may have been a semi bust at Miss St. but there is no doubt that he is highly educated and very intellectually gifted. Same for Leach.

I don't mind Elko as a very solid backup plan - if everything else fails. He runs circles around past hires (at the time of the hire) - Bowden, Chizik, Malzahn, and Harsin.

If he is on the radar of Cohen, I view this as a positive sign. Very thorough, non-clustery search - hopefully.
This in light of me accepting, regretfully, that Freeze is most likely a no go. It is what it is.

Elko is the hire that gets everyone fired

Freeze can’t get the “alignment” of everyone on board.

Yeah I like the way Cohen is thinking. Elko has potential for sure.

Heupel got $4M/yr for 6 years at Tennessee.

Thanks for making my point. Is Ole Miss better under Kiffin than they were under Freeze?

Has Heupel turned around the biggest shitshow in the last 10+ years?

I hate Alabama with every fiber of my being, but I am certain they will embarrass Kiffin on Saturday. Coming off a loss, and the bad blood between Saban and Kiffin? It's going to be a bloodbath. If Saban can score 100, he will.

I literally said “give Kiffin 9.5m, that’s comparable to Brian Kelly” and you got all bent out of shape.

More like corrected it.

Hence why he only got an 8 year deal.

Meh. He was fired for being distracted. He had a ten year contract? What?

Why? (take Sanders out of the equation, because he is most likely not happening)

Elko would be to put it politely, another Google hire.

GM is just trying to make a name for himself as an insider by guessing. The only coach that is legit enough to offer that to would be Urban. But Auburn isn't going to give anyone that much. Jimbo has broke cfb of huge contracts to new hires.

Exactly. The last google hire got everyone fired. Cohen isn't outsmarting anyone pursuing Elko, who cares if he's Ivy League educated, that's meaningless. Cohen will overthink this hire, and himself right out of a job. Stupid.

Elko is the worst name mentioned yet.

So who are your names if no Kiffin, Lanning, or Rhule?

Go look at his staff, he already has two coaches that would make phenomenal recruiters at Auburn (or any SEC school).

Y’all know what sucks? Auburn writers are saying it’s between Kiffin, Freeze, Lanning, or Rhule mostly. Auburn writers don’t know shite so that means it won’t be any of them, I guarantee it’s someone who is barely talked about.
