This thread is just another example of why kids need to be shown tough love these days. Lanier was coddled as a kid and his petulance for any coach not named Gus has only increased. He pretends like he is self-made but all he does is sell shitty bait. He says he has a nice beach house, but in reality, he doesnt possess the leadership characteristics of an OG. Being an OG is NOT just materialistic. If anything, he exhibits the charcteristics of 12 year old school girl, so his wife or husband must wear the pants in the household.
Lanier doesnt give a shite about basketball either, so really, he does not even have a home here anymore. As the timeline moves further away from Gus, the further Lanier acts out because his favorite coach is even moreso irrelevant. The fact that Lanier's heart of butthurt and hate is now farming alts is disturbing and I request permission to become mod to kick his arse out of here before this gets out of hand.

I'm a lot older than that. Coach would tell the team stories about how he came up. Poor with whole bunch of brothers and sisters. Barely enough food to feed the family. When he got to Auburn, they had to bulk him up, and said he didn't know what to think about having access to so much food. Physically, he was not ready, as a freshman, to get any playing time. Not many freshmen are, whether it's size, speed of the game, or adjusting to an exponential increase in competition over high school football. We have a lot of talent, ON PAPER, that doesn't mean they are ready at this level. Case in point, KLS is our best receiver. Coleman is the most talented. One is a senior, the other is a true freshman.

And you know, so many people harboring butthurt for Auburn like Lanier and beatbammer, or making a home in retardville on the thought spectrum is making it hard for normal folk to discuss anything related to Auburn football. As a matter of fact, did you know Thorne was the reason we lost the 4th and 31 game? Did you know he is the reason for Russia! How in the hell can we move on when we have perrenial butthurt and perrenial backup qb weirdos that wont ever move on.
I have never heard so much Thorne whining and it was on a day he threw 5 TD passes. Embarrassing!

Dude I grew up on a farm as an only child. I promise you, I was far from coddled. You can never ever seem to stay on topic with these threads. Once you fall behind, you resort to name calling and personal insults. Sad actually. I am the one being tough on Hugh and somehow I am the beta?
I like college basketball, I just dont have the time to do it all. Football has always been my first love and that is what I elect to spend my time with

Tons of productive college qbs too that are listed at 6’ or less … they make up 19% of all D1 college qbs.
I’d rather have a 5’10” QB that is a leader … than a taller QB that is unable to rally his squad.
