These takes are hilarious. He is clearly an above average QB at this point who had to suffer and endure under not one, but two incompetent bozos. Good for him for leaving and not letting his eligibility burn out. He is 10x better than anyone we have on this roster.
Not to mention, he will finish his career as a 4 year starter while playing for Auburn and Oregon. He will have over 10,000 passing yards, over 1,000 rushing yards and likely around 85-90 TD.

Rumors about Tank having a meltdown during the game:
quote:
Anyone else see it? Not here to judge the situation. But on our last drive Tank was pulled off after his long run and then the swing pass he caught. Was visibly upset. Got back in on the play Ashford threw the pick. Got to sideline. Took helmet off and slung it hard, off behind bench near hedges. Goes on a tirade walking through bench toward Harsin. Harsin about 10 yards in field. Tank gets to sideline and gets some words in toward Harsins direction before Caddy was all over him pulling him back.
He was livid for a solid 7-8 minutes on sideline. Wasn’t a great look for anyone who saw it but I also get it. This sucks for the kids who put everything into this season.

Do you know when good Ashford or good Finley will show up?
Has Ashford improved since game one? The dude started the season as a red shirt freshman, with zero game experience. Yes, he made some mistakes last night, but looks a ton better than he did at the start of the season.
quote:You forget about Florida and LSU with Gus as the HC and Bo Nix at QB? Or Bo Nix last year at LSU? Nix was the starter against GA State and LSU. Same QB, same coach, two totally different games. Did Harsin make the right decision to bench Nix in the GA State game? How about Gus keeping him in during the Florida game?
Mercer, Georgia State, San Jose State. What do they have in common? Harsin? Who struggled against GA State? All the starters.

quote:And be lucky to sign as free agent. Think about it. 4 year starter, his dad is a coach, he's had private coaching, and numerous other coaches. Yet, in his 3rd year as a starter, he still had happy feet, abandoned the pocket, and went to his legs far sooner than he should.

You have some weird wet dreams bro.

That’s fricking irrelevant and you know it. Nix should’ve been the man and Ashford should’ve been the project. Ashford has a season QBR of 34. Keep pretending Nix was addiction by subtraction. Ashford is nowhere fricking ready. One INT came off the board. He fumbled like three fricking times at the mesh point. I’ve said it over and over he is letting great plays become neeutralized or negated back to back plays.

What about those games? Should Gatewood have started? Are you saying 20 year off Ashford deserves grace but 18 year old Nix didn’t?

quote:That conference isn't exactly known for it's defense. Defense there is almost like an after thought. Explains why all those high scoring offenses there, always seem to look pedestrian when they play SEC and Big 10 schools.
but he’s playing in a conference that will be dismantled in a couple years.

The great logic by greygoose.

So let me get this straight; we play a minimum of 12 games per season, but the only thing that matters is how he looks against Georgia?
No, I witnessed 3 seasons of Nix against premiere SEC talent, and watched 55-60% completion percentage.
Magically, playing in a weaker conference, he’s doing better.

Greygoose: Someone said something I agree with so they are astute people. Anybody that disagrees: dullboys.

There aren’t Bo haters, it’s the Bo Nix worshipers that have put him on God status. They begged for a legacy QB via Pat, but it didn’t work out. They stalk every post if anyone even hints that he’s even an average QB, and slander that poster.

I don't know any Auburn fan that hates Bo Nix, but I damned sure know a whole bunch that always questioned which Bo Nix was going to show up for the game.

Bo is where he needs to be. I am happy for his success. He is working himself in to a NFL opportunity that he wouldn’t have had if he stayed. I have no doubt he knew he needed to go elsewhere.
He’s not dumb and knew he would gain nothing by staying here. He also went to an offense he was already familiar with. He thought this move through thoroughly. I honestly believe there was nothing Harsin could have done to keep him here.
Bo knew we did not have the OL to protect him. Bo deserves the success he is having after giving his all to Auburn.

I can’t attest for a posters personal evaluations and opinions on talent.
But you however have sported an Oregon avatar for months, and act as Nix Auburn board security detail.
Creepy.
