Peole are still trying to compare flu deaths with covid deaths. We have enough data now. The health experts were correct.

I mean, you’re trying to compare them, you’ve thrown those statistics out countless times in multiple threads to try and prove your point, when it only shows you don’t understand the two metrics. . How can you say we have enough data with a straight face? We have enough data when the very data you are quoting is admittedly inaccurate that you are trying g to compare it to?

Until we measure the flu like we do covid, anyone that claims one way or the other that one is definitively more deadly than the other is being intentionally dishonest.

AGAIN......because people say........"now do the flu deaths".

I am done with you on this topic. I keep saying the same thing and you keep saying the same thing.

we are done.

So why do you keep posting flu statistics that are not compatible to Covid statistics to try and make your argument?

Why do you try and use non-comparable metrics to try and make a point? Post flu statistics of people that died with it, not just from it. That is what people are asking for.

Dude...the point is they were fully vaccinated and some are in the hospital now with....wait for it...COVID...

What I have been saying all along is it is up to each individual to decide if they want to vax or not. But for every point out there who say that see the vax works or doesn't work there are counterpoints...

People are skeptical because they have caught people in authority straight up lying about things on major scale and have gotten the social media giants to do their bidding for them on suppressing other studies etc and information...and the media has been caught lying their butts off also...

The data is pretty clear that being vaccinated is safer than the reverse. Not just one study, but countless studies from multiple countries.

It is amusing to me that this has became so political. It's a fricking vaccine - the shite we all took as children. Many states MANDATE vaccines for school children by law and have done so for decades.

Let’s not be obtuse about this and act like anything that has gone on from start to now revolving around Covid has been normal at all. Nothing about it is “just” a vaccine.

Stuff becomes political any time a group is trying to force people to do things. I’m not sure how that is amusing. Floating the idea of a vaccine passport was one of the single dumbest things that has come from all of this. It did as much damage to the vaccination movement as anything.

Right. So the group that has the highest likelihood of a breakthrough case, is also the most vaccinated group, therefore skewing the overall vaccination stats. It’s the Simpson Paradox and also pretty disingenuous to point to and make wild claims about overall efficacy.

Lets just remove the 65+ older group from the stats and tell me how deadly this virus is since were removing groups that skew statistics.

Speaking of falsified statistics and skewing them

LINK

"According to the chart, “unvaccinated <14 days receipt of the first dose of a 2-dose series or 1 dose of the single-dose vaccine or if no vaccination registry data were available.”

Sorry to interrupt your regularly scheduled programming…but I can’t wait til we’re debating play calls and referee calls in a couple of weeks.

I’m just tired of hearing about covid. And politics. And such.

it will never end. Covid has infected this country mentally. Forfeitures, false positives and incessant testing are the future

The sooner people realize that this virus acts just like every other respiratory virus, the better. Covid will always be around, and just like all the other respiratory viruses, it will infect people when their immune systems weaken during the year.

But thats not what the TV tells me.

Look at the hospital beds!!!! 96% unvaccinated!!! Oh wait, the CDC redefined the term unvaccinated to include those that died from Covid after the jab up to 2 frickING WEEKS. Thats right, all this talk about the unvaxxed and its the fricking recently jabbed thats skewing the stats. Funny how a little manipulation can go a long way isnt it

I love the serial down voter in this thread

I don’t even care about the numbers at this point. Bad or good, they are a reality. We aren’t just magically going to kill Covid with anything people are wanting to do. Get the vaccine, don’t get the vaccine, make your own personal choice about your health. No matter what we do though, we aren’t going to “get over” Covid. It is here for the long haul, just like all the others. Acting like we are doomed if a portion of our society doesn’t get vaccinated is blind idiocy.

please show me where I made wild claims? I am just pointing out that those that say you must take the vaccine even if you have had it, doesn't really matter if I have the shot, I still can get COVID and end up in the hospital..So I can take my chances on getting COVID again or I can take a chance at having up to a life threatening side affect with the shot...

We have also had people on here saying this type of vax isn't new but this is the first time it has been approved for use and notice that it is emergency use and the liability for the drug companies has been removed...

Why though? I mean just don’t read the thread. If people want to have a discussion, let them. If people were getting hostile or something towards each other, sure, but why lock a thread just because some people get annoyed with the discussion being had?

you can always find another thread jang.

or

We can collectively as a board vote that Covid is now a political topic and should only be posted on the poli board

I’m not a thread nazi. Leave it up or whatever. This isn’t a politics board though. The leeway afforded because of Harsin’s covid approach has already been plenty and well enduring. With game week I figured we could let this die.
