Little birdy told me today this week there will be a mix up in reps. And at LSU might have a new starter at QB.
This would make sense. Start getting Holden more reps with the 1s, don't throw him to the wolves at UGA. Give him 2 weeks with the bye to get ready and then start Holden against LSU if he's looking good.

Agree with everything you said but agreed with this the most.

This is all on Freeze. He should have all 3 qbs taking equal snaps. Holden should be prepared to go in and take over. I am not to pleased with Freeze right now. If this keeps up, I’m back to waiting on BB season.

not how it works. I expect Holden gets a lot more reps in the next two weeks though

Freeze mentioned that Thorne is still QB1 and Robby QB2 in his press conference today. For the time being that is. He alluded to making changes after the uga game instead of pulling the plug on Thorne. He essentially said he is giving him one more week to prove he can compete or he is going with another option. More than likely Holden

Also said Holden missed a lot of passes and only completed one while missing four. Said he has the fastest release.

Hopefully Thorne can get his shite together and play with some confidence this weekend. Otherwise it will be shitshow number 3 and his time as a starting Qb are over barring injury

Holden and the QBs were told the plan last night. So the opportunity is on the table. This is not a written in stone thing but Holden’s chance has arrived. He knows it and the other QBs know it.

If a change is going to be made it will be after the bi week. UGA game, Thorne will get the nod with a short lease if I had to guess

If I had to bet he is going to try to move the pocket a lot and/or let Thorne roll out more - he looks most comfortable when he's on the move. Not sure how that's going to go against UGA but we shall see.

Just rewatched Holden's passes. I like that he's getting the ball out quick. When blitz comes, he picks a 1v1 and gets the ball out. Fast release. I've got him ~3 good balls out of 7 attempts. I like the deep shots he took as well and with slight improvement can see us hitting one of those. None of his passes looked like sailing the ball on a wide open guy. If PT were in for these plays, I think he would have taken about 3 sacks.

1) Should have been caught by Fairweather
2) Ball out quick. Not sure if it was a miscommunication because he threw the ball to the sideline. Either way, I'm happy he got the ball out quickly
3) Dart on the money to Fair
4) Screen on the money to hooks. Short side of the field and OLB got out to it. Defense was jumping the screens
5) Had Fairweather open but threw up a 1v1 to the endzone. Throw was out of bounds.
6) Blitz got to him quick. Got the deep ball off to hooks. Out of bounds
7) Ball came out late and wide
8) Sacked - had Jay Fair and would have liked to see him get this ball out to him

Freeze also mentioned that ZERO RPO plays were called against aTm. Zero. Like what the frick is that? You could tell hugh is losing his mind at not having the reigns

Interesting... I would have sworn at least 2 of Thorne's roll out plays were RPO... on one he hit Fairweather in the flat for a short gain and the other he dove for a first down but had a guy wide open downfield. I'm actually really surprised by that ha.

Thats the one. He cant wait on the receiver to make the cut he has to throw it and the safety was closing, so he throws it to the sideline, the receiver can shield off the safety and the sideline protects him from the DB.....and the frigging receiver cuts right into the closing safety and leaving his backside open to the DB.

He had one where the WR screen was wide open, and he double pumped it and gave the LB time to get into the throwing lane and almost intercept the ball. I repeat, Throne double pumped a WR screen…

Why do you keep trashing Thorne. No one is here pumping Thorne up. He’s not playing good at all. But he is playing better than Robby. Neither can win us games at the way they are playing.

That’s why Freeze and Co. are looking to see what Holden can do the next few weeks.

If it falls down to Robby later in the season and we are playing the most athletic QB to try to make things happen our offense isn’t working in the next few games either.

Maybe that wasn’t the route the WR was supposed to run. We don’t know those answers

I’ve heard a change was coming this week, I have no clue if that means Robby or Holden.

Change in practice this week. More reps for Holden. If he progresses and can show he understands the offense at the basic level of the concepts he will get the start against LSU if Thorne shits the bed again.
