So glad they’re retiring #2, Cam is legend.

Me either. I always wore 7 in sports and I've never gotten to witness anyone wear my favorite number at Auburn.
Single digit numbers just look good on jerseys and players are gonna want them. Now we only have 8 (16 i guess since they double numbers for offense and defense) to issue. Imagine Deuce Knight transferring and it coming out that it was because he couldn't wear #2.

I know Auburn, and lots of other teams, have a "ring of honor", so why not just do that? Have the ring of honor mean the same thing as having the number retired.
