Bo has no chest. I know it. You know it. And the American people know it.

Did you watch Bo play on the road?

Like in Baton Rouge?

Bo’s road game stats still beats Calzada’s road game stats. But Calzada is a “real” QB

Calzada away from home:
54% completion percentage
6 TD, 4 INT
106.5 passing rating
-50 rushing yards, 0TDs
10 sacks

Bo Nix stats:
57.4% completion percentage
5 total TD, 2 INT
127 rushing yards
111.7 passing rating
4 sacks

He will abuse Utah this year like a red headed step child. You know it. I know it. America knows it.

Look, I’m not arguing that Calzada is a better QB than Bo. He’s certainly not nearly as gifted athletically.

What I do believe is up for debate is whether or not our record in 2022 will be any worse with Calzada under center than it would have been with Bo.

I think Bo has reached his performance plateau, and no amount of coaching/playcalling will improve it any. Of course he may light it up in Eugene and prove me wrong. I guess we’ll find out eventually.

I mean, you can assume Calzada will get much better, but that’s still an assumption that you probably had with 19 year old Bo in games 2, 4, 8 and 10.

Calzada has been in college since Bo has been in college. Just assuming an upgrade is there or will be there is folly. Not once in Bo’s career was his personnel stacked to his strengths and a lot of the personnel issues stunted his growth. You can’t tell me for sure Calzada will get the necessary help.

Bo hasn’t peaked yet either. As long as his numbers continue rising peak isn’t in the rear view mirror. We just haven’t seen growth in leaps and bounds.

We play the Ducks in Autzen this year so Bo will have a good shot to put up some good numbers. I hope Dillingham lets Bo use his wheels more this year. I think he'd be much more effective and give defenses alot more problems. For Utah, we return something like 25 of our top 35 guys including most on defense. Utah will probably be the best defense Bo/Oregon face. We lost four OL (THREE ON NFL TEAMS COARCH!) so that will be an issue early but Jim Harding always ends up with a good group. Cam Rising (QB) and our RB two deep returns too. We thumped Oregon twice last year so I predict... pain. Utah 44 Oregon 11.

(edit) On Calzone, he did enough things last year that were positive that gives me hope he'll make another solid jump in his second year as a starter. I don't like Jimbo Fisher but I'll take one of his starting QB's any day of the week. He puts a ton of responsibility on his QB's. Calzone has a big arm and has the reputation of being a really tough guy that everyone rallies around.

No chest and chokes under pressure. I doubt we will ever see again the backwards spike. Never seen it at any level of football.
As for Baton Rouge, go back and watch. We were losing the game late in the 4th quarter and had no chance of winning if Bo had to pass us down the field. I mean in 3 years did Bo ever successfully conduct a 2 minute drive? We won because of Hunter's long run.
All that said he will do great at Oregon. He will be the best athlete on the field and can run around playing hero look at me ball. Just glad he's gone and I don't have to watch it.

But he did win amirite?

Is it his fault if he had to cause a scramble drill in order for the Tyler Fromm’s to get open?

So have we officially decided if Calzada has a rocket arm or not?

I believe he does but Jimbo sure didn’t exploit it in the Arky game.

Fearless, thats the piece that is missing, how can you compare a first year kid with a kid in his 3rd season?

I think we will see improvement with Calzada versus his play last year, which is what you always expect from a QB. He is our QB now.

You are retarded. I'm not even a recruiting guy and I know he has a heat seeking missle back to his junior year in GA.

We will all miss bo nix this year he bounced because he saw what this coaching staff had to offer. He felt his chances for development were better elsewhere and he is right.

If you read what his mother, sister, and wife said, he left because the fans hurt his feelings. And apparently, he and his father had nothing bad to say about the coaches to English. He knew he was leaving when he got booed off the field against Ga St. It is the best for him and for AU.

Do we need a rocket arm?

I thought we were only going to use TE this year.

I gained a lot of respect for Calzada last year. After he dislocated his shoulder against us then coming back in to seal the win. And then what he did against Alabama after getting his ankle hurt. He’s a tough SOB with a do whatever-it-takes to win attitude.
