Some news on former Auburn QBs:

GOAT Nick Marshall pick sixed another pass tonight.

LINK

Interestingly Nix made 8,500 to 9,000 dollars just from podcasts last season but A&M players thought that payout was too little to be of interest for them.

Cam, Nick, Stidham, Bo all had good deep throws. Quality of WRs were a big difference. The only poor deep passer we had that played any significant snaps was Sean White. Again no one to throw to.

Seth couldn’t compete for a deep pass to save his life. One of the worst contested ball receivers statically that there was 2 years ago.I think he was like 18% or something. Not good for a possession jump ball type wr.

Anyway just my 2 cents on the topic. Calzada has a strong arm. No clue if his or Bo’s was stronger but floating football with no pressure and no defender for WR to run isn’t really that difficult.

Our season will depend on Calzada so I hope for the best.

Corch, these “anybody but Bo” people think I’m simply just going to move on from Bo. Not a snowball’s chance in hell

Buckle up.

Calzada has the better arm strength, but less accuracy, leadership, running ability, and toughness.

Y’all bitched about Nix’s passing and got a qb that performed worse in most statistics in conference play.

All you do is bitch. Do you ever talk about any positives with Auburn football?

Not what the tweet said.

The tweet said-

Calzada throwing more Missle’s to shedrick jackson.

I don't trust Ray Isaac Sniper School, because anyone who doesn't know how to spell missile, the difference between the plural of missile or the possessive of missile surely wouldn't be able to identify a missile.

Doesn't every phone have some form of spell check now?

Either way, that pass wasn't a rocket, "missle's" or a missile. It was a decent ball for the receiver to run under, and if you must use some form of ordinance to describe the pass, it'd be a blend of a mortar and artillery. Maybe closer to artillery.

I thought the this argument on ordnance would be better than listening to jangalang slurp some more Bo "quitter" Nix.

Bo Nix was absolutely better than Zach Calzada last year and nobody should argue otherwise. He did more with less and left it all on the field for Auburn.

However, Bo Nix was in his 3rd year starting and Zach Calzada in his 1st. I also think it helps that Zach Calzada played under Jimbo Fisher and not Gus Malzahn. We will see how it turns out.

I also agree that Jarrett Stiddy threw a better deep ball, but again, Zach Calzada has time to change that opinion of mine.

I would say Zach Calzada has the strongest arm since Nick Marshall. But remember, NM had an absolute cannon. There’s still a JUCO video out of him gunning one 72 yards down the field in the air.

I can think of one positive: don’t have to get my hopes crushed this year.

List yours.

The guy that stayed in the game on a broke leg and broke another leg off into his 300 pound linemen. Yeah so soft.

Sean and Carlton Davis just blazed one in the injury tent. They both have the giggles.

Didn't Calzada come back from a separated shoulder last year when we played them?

Bo Nix had every bit of the heart Sean White had while also being a much better athlete. I’ll give Sean White the advantage of passing accuracy and pocket awareness, but Bo Nix was better in every other phase of the game. I also think White’s supporting cast was better.

Bo Nix was anything but soft.

And if you are calling him soft because he left Auburn, you must also think Sean White is soft for leaving Auburn.

He was soft because he didn't have the guts to step up in the pocket and throw the ball. Luckily we now have a real qb.

Traitor Nix was charmin soft. Cried to the coaches about being picked on, got benched, then ran off to the weakest conference in D1. Bo Nix turned his back on the Auburn family.
