No link but saw that several places when Kiffin was still being discussed, that he had reached out to Muschamp but he doesn’t want to relocate his family right now.

Odom and Freeze apparently are close. I’d also take Arnett from MSU.

Saved a lot and hopefully (fingers crossed) he is successful and everything re-sets! We get out of the paying coaches to leave business and put that cash towards players

Wishful thinking is we have some back to back successes and take advantage for once

Just applied for the Ole Miss board and my admission statement was:

"I only want access for the Freeze memes"

They still have their coaching board going

Kiffin still hasn’t signed his extension, but they are trying to make themselves feel better about it.

These things take time. It’s probably just a paper work hold up.

Yes, he’s had it going on two weeks but it “takes time”

I think Kiffin is holding out to see what else opens.

Without question. That or trying to milk OM for all he can get.

I would laugh my balls off if he split. I wanted Kiffin but the hell with dealing with that shite every offseason, will he stay or will he go?

Neither were my first choice but I’d rather have Freeze over Kiffin every day. At least he knows what a defense is.

Trying to afford Kiffin is going to hurt their NIL so bad, having to dig deep into their foundation to marry the biggest gold digging ho in football.

Every offseason they will have to dig a little deeper or find a replacement. Eventually recruits will see he flirts with every job out there too

If Kiffin leaves and Freeze has any success (I expect him to) then we better try to get him back. Yes I watched his Auburn press conference and have a chub going

Never stop dreaming OM. He’s already said he’s leapfrogged where he was at OM

Kiffin flirting with every job for an extension every year is why I didn’t want him.

He’ll do it next year too

Is he waiting to see if an NFL job opens?

Last week OM wanted him gone, we passed for those same reasons. Now they will have to overpay him to keep him, renegotiate every year, then eventually lose him. And the coach they all wanted last week is here. 2 ways or another they lose

He signed it today but no mention of a buyout, it is probably a negligible amount and he could leave at a moments notice.

I read
"the deal includes a substantial buyout clause that will hopefully provide Ole Miss with some end-of-season stability the next few years."

They have never released his “buyout” amount and no one knows what it is.

My guess? Affordable. OM fans believing he agreed to $20M or whatever ridiculous number is insane. $5M-$6M range max.

Kiffin isn’t going to chain himself like that to a stepping stone program, and that buyout only benefits Ole Miss, not him. He had one foot out of the door and he had all the leverage. their dream of big buyouts is pure fantasy.

Good for them. Maybe, when he leaves, they can take the buyout money, and fix the leaky roof he was bitching about...

They will probably upgrade the Walmart Chicken Tenders in the Grove first, priorities.

I still have some reservations about Freeze, but one clear difference between Kiffin and Freeze is going to be loyalty.

I genuinely believe Freeze will be here until he retires or is fired. I think Kiffin will always be looking for the next big thing.

Smart coaches/agents work in a high arse buyout if they're fired, but a low/reasonable one if they leave for another job.

Franklin's buyout if he is fired is insane, but his buyout if he leaves of his own volition is like 6 million or something much smaller.
