Isn’t this similar to how the Harsin hire played out? I seem to remember getting nervous that early signing day was approaching and we still didn’t have a coach. Here we are again heading into the week after the Iron Bowl with early signing day looming in the distance and no signs of a quality coach being hired.

The problem with last time was that Greene went out on his own. This time, I’m led to believe there is various input being given to the AD and he is trying to build consensus behind someone. The problem right now appears to be that there is not any consensus and the pool is shrinking.

Alcohol, drugs, and cigs will give a person extreme power and influence when society has broken down

IF we hire Freeze part of the contract is he gives up his social media for some intern to run.
A PR rep. No matter who we hire they better not give them a buyout until it's earned and the rest better be incentive based. If a coach doesn't have enough faith in their own coaching then they can go on.

Im just blown away by the length of some of these contracts. 80 million over 8-9 years. If theres a buyout after 2 or 3 thats some huge losses in revenue

You and Nerd to go find the ballers board and leave us out of it.

Look, the only reason I post that is cause you all think I’m crazy as hell. When I am trying to tell you guys how the world works and explain what it takes to win. At the end of the day I am a very competitive and serious professional person. I would hope people inside our AD are as well. It pains me to witness this shitshow that we are watching right now. It seems that our AD is run by the seat of its pants. That is not acceptable as an educated alumnus. When you have 30 days to make a hire it should be well thought out, measured and definitive. Right now it looks like a cat herding event in Tulsa. I expect more from people that are paid Millions and have staff that are paid hundreds of thousands.

I’ll be stoked if it’s either. And I didn’t want either weeks ago

You gotta wonder how close we are to a UT/John Currie/ post Greg schiano type search. Does Cohen go rogue / noncontact and start flying all over the country?

Will Cohen bend the knee and serve up Freeze?

No I’m pissed that he is the best we can do, because the people that run AU blackballed the last coach. It has soured anyone. worth a frick from taking the job. Yet the same people can’t realize they need to hire the best guy for the job in spite of his baggage.

Don’t tease me like that… I’m on board if they can make it happen. Worst case scenario is we’re full of talent looking for a new coach in 3.

We all know prime will never happen, even though he is by far the best we could do (we’re not getting urban or Sean Payton). At this point I’m trying to ease my internal pain by trying to find some comedy in it all.
