quote:Even better, I think it would be even more difficult to be successful, competing against other coaches, with decades of experience, at the highest level, when you only have less than 2 years under your belt at school that others schedule for homecoming.
I imagine it'd be difficult for a white coach to be successful at an HBCU for many reasons.

Tell me you haven't looked at JSU's schedule without telling me you haven't looked at JSU's schedule.
We've discussed this topic already. Ain't no reason to get hung up on it.

So none of the coaches at HBCU have decades of coaching experience? Do any of the players there ever compete in the NFL with players from the SEC?

LSU played Southern a couple of weeks ago. Auburn played Alabama State last year. Rent a wins, and very similar results.
Here's a quick question. Name a Div 1 school that hired a HC, straight out of a high school?

Ed Orgeron- SEC ties, National Champion, 51-20 at LSU, great recruiter, loves broads and football like a regular Joe. Likes his walks.
You’d need a template to build a better resume than that. Isn’t that right, resume bros?

Just when I thought you couldn't make me think you could be any dumber, you post this. Congrats!
You actually think the quality of coaching in the SWAC, and the talent level of the players, is anywhere near the same in the SEC? Damn boy, you dumb.

UNLV - Tony Sanchez. Lasted 5 seasons. Not great results, but the same as literally every UNLV coach. Don't see how it's relevant though, as you've pointed out 1000s of times, Deion is 2 years removed from High School

Boy you dumb:
Walter Payton - Jackson State
Jerry Rice - Mississippi Valley State
Steve McNair - Alcorn State
I said what I said knowing you'd take the bait. Congrats for doing so.
Btw do some reading about Eddie Robinson while you're at it.
This went from debating Deion's credentials to you just out and out bashing all things HBCU related. Go to bed, your bigot is showing.

He wasn’t saying that at all.
I bet you’re hard…headed! Brine Harsen would be pleased.

Go look at how Robinson went to bat for his players, how badly he wanted them to succeed as people not just players. Deion is doing the same thing for his players. Sometimes you have to dig a little deeper to see what could make soneone a good coach. There are few better people than Deion walking college sidelines right now.

I do not give a shite if Sanders is at Jackson State, or Jacksonville State. Cadillac Williams has more experience in coaching football than Sanders, but I don't see anyone throwing his name in the ring.
The fact of the matter is, and undeniable, FBS and FCS are a world apart in both talent of players and coaching. Only an imbecile like you, would take my comments, and try to make this racial. You are truly a stupid human being. The only reason Sanders is even being discussed, is because he signed the #1 ranked player out of HS. It made news because no player that sought after, ever signed with a Div 2 school. His beef with Saban, which also made the news, was over the NIL deal, that probably had as much to do with that kid going to Jackson State as the person who recruited him. Does Sanders have multiple millions of $$$ to dole out every year in NIL? If not, it;s doubtful you'll see that again.
How many players from last years team, were drafted in the NFL? I guess the fricking NFL is just racist too!

When Caddy signs the #1 ranked recruit let me know. When Caddy creates the buzz Deion does let me know. Not saying Deion is the answer and I want Caddy to stay on the next staff

Wonder why we don't see a lot more of that? You don't throw the keys to your Rolls Royce, to the kid who just got his driver's license, 5 minutes ago. Might wreck it, might not. But the odds are much higher he will, than he won't.
Todd Dodge was the other named that popped up when thinking about coaches who went from HS to HC at an FBS level.
But the less that's discussed about his career, the better.

I'll probably be DVed for this, but what about Brian Hartline? We already have his brother on staff and he's a great recruiter. I'm well aware it's highly unlikely he leaves his alma mater and will probably wait until Day leaves, then become HC there but it can't hurt to ask.
