I know it would drive me crazy - but he’s still my number 1. Yeah just like Jang said, Bruce does a couple things that drives me nuts but at the end of the day he’s the man.

They’re (the OM boosters) capable of giving him that for sure.

The OM boosters are currently paying ~7M of his yearly salary with the school covering the rest. It’s not egregious to think they can front 3M more a year.

My #1 too... my guess is he wants $100mm and with the way Bama is playing he probably wants that job...

I honestly think we should do anything we can to get him though... Could potentially flip the AU/AL dynamic for the next 10 years.

Rabern what do you consider a big game? Is UCONN a big game?
I consider having to use your 4th string QB making every game big. Let me know when Kiffin has that much bad luck and beats someone mid or bottom tier. He's barely beating bottom tier with a 5*s QB. Definitely isn't worth 7 or 8 Million a year with a huge buyout we are stuck with when we have no defense (before we start with the liberty defense today he has defense more than not. Kiffin has none most of the time.) We have seen plenty of teams in the SEC with great Offenses and no defense lose the close games and he is in alot.

Ole Miss can only give him a contract of 4 years max. If Kiffin wants the job we can easily outbid Ole Miss

Yeah but then they can raise the yearly up to a point that even a year more would be outrageous.

They might can pay him, but the facilities suck there. And they’re still Ole Miss.

Just make sure you are still around standing by your man in 3 or 4 years when the rest of the board is bitching because he can't beat anyone that matters and we can't win anything.

I agree about the current state of their facilities but they are currently in the midst of a 350M facility campaign right now with ~200M going toward a football only facility in the future. OM isn’t chopped liver and this isn’t the 90’s anymore. They’re committed to keeping up in the football arms race.

They can’t even fill their high school stadium. New facilities won’t change the fact that their fans do not take football seriously.

Ole Miss is late to the party if they’re just now worried about FOF campaign funds.

It’s all about the NIL now.

They have a huge NIL collective “The Grove” as well.

Listen, I want Lane, he is my number 1. But folks on here say this and that about OM and what’s been true in the past isn’t the reality today for them. They have the facilities now and NIL with boosters willing to shell out cash for coaches.

I just don’t think it’s as easy to get Lane to The Plains as people think. Folks will bring up his contract (4 year max) but he is essentially guaranteed a new contract extension every year (he’s had 2 already and has gone from 4M to 7 M a year since he got there). He has it made at OM right now.

It’s going to take making him the highest paid coach to come here.
