That escalated quickly.

Pretty sure it's a slow day and it was a joke

LSU paying Brian Kelly $9.5 million a year, to be middle of the pack in the west, same with A&M with Jimbo. But our PTB will go get Grimes for what, $5 million a year, and think our results will be better? I really hope those dumbasses realize we are getting what we paid for with Harsin, and will again if we go that route again. It's shite or get off the pot time for us now.

Brian Kelly and Jimbo are examples of forcing home run hires. They wanted to get a Saban without doing the due diligence of getting an equivalent of a Lanning first.

Grimes isn't part of the same conversation as any of them though

Grimes will bore recruits with his offense. He’s by no stretch of the imagination a home run hire.

Grimes would look exactly like Pittman and Cristobal. A&M and LSU overpaying for guys who only appear to be great hires on paper. We have to go completely different direction. But who would that be?

I really think we should make Lane tell us no.

Worst case scenario, we get him a raise.

Best case, we get him and his best players at Ole Miss come to AU while also weakening an SEC West team.

We won't. We will go with boring, mundane, underwhelming, and just barely average....again. Why not spend money up front on a coach for once, not on the backend in a buyout

You are already writing off Kelly? Their roster was decimated and he had to piece together a team through the portal.

Any thoughts on bringing Chip Kelly hAUme? He did as much in the NFL as BOB and offensive talent don’t try to run away from him.

If he succeeds we need to spend at least what LSU is spending

Yeah, I needed to explain to a lot of you that Hugh Freeze is actually a very good coach. They're up 20 and he's doing it with a 3rd string QB.

It doesn't look like Roberts would sign off on Freeze (at least as of today), but his coaching acumen isn't up for debate really.
