From and X's and O's point I think we will be fine with Steven. I think recruiting will be fine too since Steven helped a lot on that the past few years. The big question will be can he motivate them to play hard enough. Only time will tell on that.

He thought hard about taking jobs 2-3 years ago but probably stopped looking when it became obvious he was gonna get the chance to continue what he had already helped build.

Totally agree with this assessment. I also think this first season will be good because it’s a Bruce DNA roster. After that I just hope

Where the lie? Scheyer had proven nothing and was a coach K favorite son.

Holy shite. I said Pearl leaving today hindered us from doing a national search and he hurt the University. We are past hiring an accomplished coach because of Bruce's selfish actions.

I had like three pages written but I know I should condense it because everyone on this board is retard slow.

You need to pay respect and get the frick off Bruce’s back.

Duke has a recruiting machine and the brand. Dont know much about Sheyer but I know K's job was highly sought after he was the guy picked for the job.

We dont have that luxury. Their machine will outlast Sheyer if he fails.

I dont see the same intelligence in Steven. Nor do I see the same charisma thst made Bruce such a good leader.

The lack of respect for Coach Pearl is sickening.

If that’s how you want to spin it, that’s on you. I greatly appreciated Bruce. I sat in empty student sections when Barbee was here, and I might not even be a college bball fan anymore without him.

I don’t think that means I have to like how this happened

Sorry, I don't think any of us have the right to dictate how Bruce decides to end his coaching career. This could not have been easy for him.

It’s about respect Jones. That’s what you fellas just don’t understand.

We were the worst basketball program in SEC history before Bruce.

You sat through Barbee games, you have to understand this.

Respect his decision.

I don’t care if Steven is a disaster, if Bruce wants it, we should respect his opinion, no matter how driven by emotion it may be.

I agree. And I don’t want authority over that either. That’s not my decision

This here is just wrong. You should be ashamed of yourself. If you are a friend to a person going down a dark path you dont just encourage him, you tell him to straighten his arse up before he gets hurt. This is also a problem in politics. You cant disagree with something without being labeled pro HAMAS or something.

Bruce deserved a better send-off and he deserved more diligence to the program he created but he didn't do it right.

This right here is ridiculous. You think you know better than Bruce. Ok. But show some respect to the man. You been crying since the announcement. I’m gonna choose to believe he knows what he is doing.
