Yes, I went on and on about NIL.
What I said from day 1......we hired Harsin and he deserved a shot. You can't fire a HC after one fricking year. He was given a chance to prove his worth. He proved he can't coach at this level in this league.

I stand corrected regarding the timeframe. You were defending Harsin up to 9/16 and then disappeared after the Penn State game for two months.
Suddenly we can now fire him after two years even though you said earlier we couldn’t.

Before the Bo haters come out, all you have to do is look at what he did at Oregon this year. He clearly made the right decision and got the last laugh on all the people who blamed him for our issues the last few years.

He left because of Harsin and the direction of the team. The idea that the fans drove him off is nonsense.
Also, Bo Nix was close with Mike Bobo and everyone knows how that entire situation went down, it clearly signalled that things were not right at Auburn under Harsin and the Nix's understood that.
The fact that he's returning to Oregon is interesting. That would seem to imply that he didn't get that good a draft grade (certainly not 1st round).

If you don't think the student section booing him in and before multiple games and constant social media hate for a guy who is on there and pays attention played any role then I don't know what to tell you. The hate for Bo was always evident and weird. If I were him I'd have transferred a year earlier.

It made no difference in his decision. The guy was a starting SEC QB on a losing team; they get praise and hate all the time. Maybe you've forgotten, but UGA fans gave Stetson Bennett all sorts of shite, and he won a national title for them. That's the nature of playing in this conference. If these guys all transferred out because someone boo'd or made a post on Twitter, none of these schools would have many players left.
"Constant social media hate"...he ended up transferring to Oregon and their fans immediately questioned why they were bringing in a loser QB from Auburn. Most of their fans wanted the 5-star they already had on campus (Thompson) to start over Nix. So you think he left Auburn because the fans were mean to him, but then chose to go to Oregon who's fans never wanted him in the first place? That makes sense.
Again, given how the Harsin situation has now concluded, the fact that anyone can still be confused as to why Nix left is mind-blowing. His father is a coach and is plugged in to the in's and out's of football in this region. They knew what was happening with Harsin and that he was completely unfit to do this job. Canning Bobo and then Mason walking out to take less money elsewhere did not sit well with the Nix's, for obvious reasons.

The pressure at Auburn is different. You and I both know this. Georgia and Alabama's success has made our fan base a little bit extra on the crazy side of things.
Again, boo'd at multiple home games when announced as the starter. I've been attending Auburn games since I could walk and have never heard that.
