It will take him time for him to adjust. He'll be good

Kelly will make this team much better.
Per Bruce on Friday: “Miles Kelly has not practiced in a week and a half due to some illness. He’s not injured but he has some illness and it’s the kind of illness that takes some time to recover from. I’m hopeful that we get Miles back next week. Miles has had a great preseason and will be an important part of our team.”

He got knocked out at Skybar.
Or he got into a scooter wreck.
Take your pick.

This is the kind of quote that turns into 3 months out
BTW, our old friend Chance Westry missed all season for Syracuse last year.. and now this year has been out most of the preseason with some kind of "illness"

Checked out the box score… 4-22 from three.
Furman plays a lot of zone and we just started putting in our zone offense 2 days before the game.

I could be mistaken but I thought in the game recap hi-lights, they showed Miles in the locker room during Bruce's pre-game. On Thursday, 247 reported he wouldn't be traveling with the team though?

Also, sometimes you just shoot poorly.
This team has several good shooters and ultimately will be viewed as a good shooting team. The math will win.
Bama had shooters all over the court last year and shot poorly for almost 2 straight months.

This team should be pretty good to really good so I would just wait to see how it plays out.
I read somewhere that kelly is a sneaky elite rebounder as well. And as far as JP goes. Just have to hope hes just good enough.

Some random CBB folks that watch a whole lot more SOCON than I do think very highly of Pegues. I don't think he is gonna be a star for us but I do think he will be solid

I'd take the over. Guards should shoot it better. Broome around the same. Will we go small ball at the 4 much? Remains to be seen. We will certainly miss the floor spacing JWill provided last year. Even if Chaney has a good season for us he just won't be that kind of threat from deep in our standard 4 out, 1 in flex sets.

We averaged 8 per last year.

Why do you think this?
Chaney was a guard, he grew from 6'3 to 6'8 in college. And he has a pretty good 3pt stroke...

Well J Will was exceptionally efficient from 3 last season and I just don't think Chaney can get to that level. I think he can shoot a decent percentage maybe but not with the same volume. Jaylin made over 1 3 per game each of the last two years.

Sounds like tonight's exhibition will be well attended. AU reporting less than 100 tickets available (about an hour ago). Should be a fun game with a regular season atmosphere, good for the players.
Being reported the game will be on radio.
Random quotes from this week:
“JP had to go back to Furman where he had played, so that was tough for him,” said Pearl. “He was a great teammate, had great friends there, was loyal to Furman for three years, did a great job for them. They probably did a few things to make sure he didn't get a whole lot of good looks. He handled it well, led us in defensive rebounding at the guard spot.”
“Miles had his first contact practice yesterday,” Pearl said. “He’s available and will play, he won’t play a ton of minutes because of just getting back and getting in condition, but it’ll be great to have him back after being out a couple weeks.”
A key player to watch on FAU’s staff is guard Johnell Davis. He averaged 18.2 points per game last season and was lethal from beyond the arc with a 41.4% three-point percentage.
