Lol yeah no way. For all his faults, CBM is a great bball player and a game changer. Our staff knows this more than anyone. They want him here.

I agree, but I feel like CBM thinks that era is over. I think Bruce & Co feel the same.

Yeah but this isn’t some daytime drama. It’s about winning games. CBM wins you games.

Just goes to show you shouldn't expect anyone to stay put for long, CBM and the coaching staff brought the best out of each other (ejections aside) and he is still leaving. He is probably keenly aware that this is his last chance to get a bag playing bball.

Kid didn’t play with the maturity needed out of an upper classmen. Talented? Yes… prone to dumb mistakes? yes…

What’s the basketball transfer rules? Can he go to another SEC team?

Nico couldn’t transfer within the SEC..

Take CBM off the roster last year and we finish fourth or lower in the SEC. I get it’s easy to bitch about him but he has been so so good for us.

I just hope he goes somewhere out of the sec, if he don’t come back.

In this scenario, who would you replace him with? You can't just remove a starter without a replacement and use that as an argument. Remove any starter off any team and they would finish worse than they did

He is a fun player to watch, but if he is trying to get a big time pay day, there is a limit. If he wants more than we can afford, for what he brings to the table, you have to move on. I have no doubt we gave a fair offer, but sometimes both sides just can't come to an agreement.

CBM just hit portal
It’s all about the money. He clearly thinks he can get a bigger payday going somewhere else. My guess is that he spent the last couple of weeks negotiating with Auburn and what we had to offer simply wasn’t enough.

Would have had a stronger stance with a finals appearance…

What sucks is i'm sure, at least in part, him returning is at least one reason Jakhi hit the portal. We've lost out on a lot of guys we could have been going after.

Well my point is that he was more than just a starter. He has been the second best player on a very good team for the past two seasons. His defense and super efficient offense makes him a huge difference maker. He also has excelled in the system and makes others better.

He is valuable and if we have the resources to pay him we should do it. But, I get it’s probably not possible to pay what someone else might.

I hope he comes back, I hope Tahaad comes back. But I have to be prepared and not mad if they don't.

Reading,I believe Spring transfers can’t sign with another SEC school. If he wants to leave for more money, more
Power to him.

We got better when KD left, maybe the same with CBM.

I’m just glad he won’t be in our conference.

Plus you have to look at it like this...

Johni gone. Dylan gone. Denver gone. Chaney gone. Miles gone. CMo gone. Jakai gone. Tahaad MIGHT be gone. It's not the same.

Pretty sure Chad had one of these moments...

You do realize we made the final four last year?

If we can't afford to keep our best players anymore then I might just be done with basketball. Making the final 4 one more time might just be a good way to go out.

Yea and Championship game would be an improvement.

I mean it as the right pieces might fall again. Last year we lost players that actually brought in Miles Kelly

Im not saying losing CBM is good. He had some clutch games, but he also had some games he just disappeared. I truly wish him the best and will tune in to watch him play wherever he lands
