I have never claimed to be an AU alum. Most if not all know that on here.

Weird flex but I don’t expect much from you

And now we are back to 13 Q1 wins after last night’s results.

It’s becoming difficult with some of the teams right on the edge of Q1 games or not. Could change again tonight. Still incredible to be 22-2 overall and 13-2 in Q1 games.

No, you’re thinking too far ahead. First we need to best practice later today

lol.

We might actually need a day off.

Get after it some on Thursday.

Solidify the game plan on Friday.

Play a complete game on Saturday.

Profit!

Torvik has us as a -0.1 underdog against Bama.

Bama turns the ball over alot and struggles to force turn overs
They will be competitive rebounding
They are going to chuck up tons of 3s

We've got to defend the 3ball, broome cardwell and chaney have to step up and we have to make our layups and free throws. Any of those end up slipping or sliding and its going to be a really tough game.

We have to rebound their missed 3s. If our bigs move like they did against UF’s bigs we r in trouble

Bama hasn't played the top of the SEC in Florida, Tenn or Auburn yet. They've played some really good teams in Texas, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Miss State, but they haven't played the elite teams just yet. There's quite a bit to learn about them

Ole Miss and A&M are the only ones who have decent defenses and they dropped one of those and neither of those have great offenses. They really loaded the end of their schedule with all the best teams in a row.

So far this year, AU has completely handled teams that need to shoot the 3 to win. Those teams are not only shooting a low %, but are not even getting shots up. Bama is loose with the ball and we defend with length.
I expect a hefty turnover margin, hopefully early in the game.

Our Bigs will need to be disciplined defending drive attempts. Lately they have been too aggressive IMO, running up their block counts but often giving easy 2nd chance put backs. Bama takes no mid-range shots, so defend accordingly. There are 2 other current AU 'D' issues I will be watching. (1) Broome is still not at full speed. When he steps out to defend the pass out top he is not able to recover in time. Florida ate his lunch with passes over the top to cutters. The situation was still there at Vandy, but they were not able to exploit it. I expect Bama will actively look for this because they also have athletic bigs. (2) For the last 2 games, CMB has been getting absolutely destroyed by bigger, more physical players. I'm hoping his matchups will be better on Saturday.

BAMA is good, but for reasons stated earlier, this is a good matchup for AU. I'm expecting a comfortable win, and have an eye out for a beat down.

A win Saturday and then winning out at home would secure at least a tie for the SEC title. Huge opportunity sitting out there for the taking if the guys can maintain focus and not get rushed on offense.
