And for your mental health, you better lower them quick with Broome missing some time. We are going to drop some more games because of it
Just caught your slick edit.
Based on Broome's toughness against Texas and his performance against South Carolina I can assume those L's were coming regardless

Count me in. Is he going to do it in crunch time. Or is he going to complain to the refs.
Do we have a Malik Dunbar on this team?

You mean like against Iowa state?

You're fine with losing
This makes no sense. Who exactly are we losing to that we're supposedly fine losing to? We have lost one game @ Duke.

Enjoy your participation trophy
Nobody is winning a trophy in January. If we're playing this way in March then I'll worry. Until then all that matters is the W or L.
The fact we're in tight games should not be a surprise to anyone who has followed basketball for any amount of time. There is not a team in this conference that we can just walk into their gym and win on talent alone. A lesser talented team playing with passion can make up for a lot. SC was desperate and embarrassed from last year and played much harder than we did but when it mattered and without our best player we did what we needed to do.
We've shown we can play when we have it. Now we've shown we can still win when we don't and that's what champions do. It was one game. Until it becomes a pattern I'm not going to worry about it

It was nice to have a hungry team that day. Cant say that about yesterday or the Texas game. Just going through the motions out there.

Yes there is. We just did it.

This is my point. So bring it.

The conversation was clearly talking about postseason exits that remarkably looked as half-hearted as yesterday.

Enjoy your participation trophy. We have 10 plus seniors combined with talent at certain positions. We are beating inferior teams thanks to talent alone. Great formula for more early exits.
Get a grip on yourself man.
We have far more Q1 wins than anybody else, have destroyed several top 20 teams on neutral courts, and we just won 2 SEC road games.
Also, people who know a lot more than you and me are saying AU is the best team in the country. (Granted, this is with Broome.)

Some Auburn fans will never be happy. Wins be damned

I would've told you that we were the best team in the conference last year after we beat up every SEC team in the conference and riding high heading into Yale.

We dont give out championships for January. High ceiling teams get high ceiling expectations. That's just how it is.

He is in a boot this AM and seems a bit disappointed gents. We need to get behind him, this team and pray these kids up…

Reports are a non-surgical sprain. That would peg recovery to weeks.
Sounds like we dodged another major bullet.

Fortunately, we’re not heading into March at the moment. Things can turn on a dime as you saw last year against Yale. I believe the coaches know the issues right now. They’ve said the same things we have. Just need to take the wins as they come right now, especially with Broome being out. It may do the rest of the guys some good to get some games in without him come tourney time.

And we were playing our best ball in the SEC tournament. Then CBM got ejected and there she goes.
Meanwhile Bama was limping into the tourney and made the final 4
All I know is we’ve got a dang good team and we have as good a chance or better at the natty than anyone and it’s pretty dang fun

The only thing I would say about this is that all the evidence disputes it. Insane take

Oats which has no problem escaping the first weekend is just going to pass him by and that would be a damn shame considering they fired two coaches just to collect a win against Bruce.
Forgive me if I'm wrong, I don't keep receipts on here like some but aren't you one of the ones who always says firing Freeze would set us back years?
Seems like here you're acknowledging it's more important to find the right guy.

I think the problem is we set an impossibly high bar in Maui and then against Purdue and OSU. Not going to lie, I got caught up in it thinking it was title, or at least Final 4, or bust.
Reality has set in a little and it's clear we are obviously a really good basketball team but flawed like pretty much all the other top teams. It's just going to come down, as it almost always does, to who is healthy and who gets hot in March. We have a great chance to be one of those teams and we'll just have to wait and see what happens when we get there.
I will say we absolutely, no matter what, have to get out of the first round this year or it will be a complete failure.

And their draw and the way the higher seeds lost in their bracket made it one of the easiest paths by seed to a Final 4 in the last 30 years

A lot of luck involved in winning the Tourney just as Virginia, one Double dribble call away from losing
