I feel like we've got a lot of tools that will help us pull away with this game:

- Our refreshed D in the late Qs
- Our stable of amazing rbs with different skillsets
- 2 great QBs
- Holland's cat like reflexs and gorilla glue grip
- Arky really really sucks this year

Posted this earlier but Kiehl Frazier is starting at QB...for Arky. Said he would do anything to help Auburn win!

you fying into tulsa?... NWA is a tough place to get to. my company had some work in springdale a few months ago. You're almost better off just driving.
I'm flying into XNA in Bentonville right outside of Fayetteville.

It's not that long. I have a connecting flight in Charlotte but even with that it is pretty short. Total for the weekend I'll spend 7 hours in the air and about 2 in the airport waiting on connecting flights. So I'll save myself 11 hours worth of time that it'd take to drive instead.

I got bored and wanted to know how far away Arky is from Auburn, so I decided to Google Maps it. Before I could complete the search, I noticed the description for the YOU of A. I figured I'd share it with the fambly

Came across as a little odd to me I know, :csb:

Reading the Rob Pate article on rivals and that is one of the better rivals articles in awhile. The amount of subtle trash talk is pretty awesome

quote:

Not every year will they overwhelm you athletically, physically, or this year with the hiring of Bret Bielema, schematically;

quote:

The problem for most SEC teams is Arkansas doesn't get the competitive juices flowing.

quote:

No one who chooses to attend Auburn, or Alabama, or LSU, or Georgia does so for the opportunity to play Arkansas.

Talking about how no one from all star games or worth a shite goes to Arkansas

quote:

You have friends or family that attended other schools in this conference. But you know no one that attends, attended, coaches, or plays for the Hogs.

quote:

It's hard to get to, a long trip, in the middle of absolutely nowhere, in a smaller-than-the-norm stadium filled with squealing fans wearing hog noses.

quote:

Bert vs Gus. Gus Malzahn scares the hell out of Bret Beliema. That's the only conclusion one can accurately surmise. Why else would this out-of-touch, in-over-his-head coach continue to call out the one coach the people (and high school coaches) in Arkansas adore demonstrably more than Beliema himself?=

don't know if it's been discussed before, but this will be Auburn's first game on artificial turf this season (JHS, Tiger Stadium and Kyle Field all have natural grass)... does anyone else see this as a slight advantage for the faster team? Petrino had the turf put in in 2009, due in large part to his explosive offenses. But this year, Arkansas's strengths are along the OL and DL, while their offensive and defensive skill players are struggling.

I'm curious to see just how fast our offense can be on an artificial surface.

Some trivia/stats from ESPN:
quote:

Auburn’s amazing turnaround season continues. The Tigers have won four straight, including wins over ranked Ole Miss and Texas A&M. Last season, Auburn was 0-5 against AP-ranked opponents and was outscored by an average of 27.6 points in those games.

quote:

Auburn has gained at least 600 yards in each of its last three games. Only two other teams this season have had a streak that long. Baylor did it in four straight games from Aug. 31-Oct. 5, and Oregon did it in three straight games from Oct. 5-19.

quote:

Arkansas has won two straight and four of the last five meetings against Auburn. In the 22-game series history, Arkansas has never won three straight against the Tigers.

Do we break 500 yards rushing again?

Bama had well over 300 yards... if Marshall is healthy and active in the running game, it could happen.

Still Game time decision on QB, but don't expect conservative play calling should JJ get the nod. Marshall was limited in practice this week, but some expect him to start just the same.

Jonathan Ford is out and dealing with a family emergency. Kamryn Melton also will not travel out with an injury. We will have 2 starting CB's and one back up going into the Arky game.

Ryan White can revert to CB if needed.

that's scary... but gotta think with arkansas we're not gonna play near as much nickel as we have during most of our games.

Correct, they don't have a lot of 3 and 4 WR sets.

we really have four we feel good about, but white's having to play safety bue to Holsey tearing his ACL...

We've got three safetys (whitehead, smith, white) that we feel good about and three corners we feel good about (davis, mincey, and jones)... plus trent fisher and khari harding travel with the team.

we could absorb one in game injury and probably not have too big of a drop on product, but two guys go down and we're in trouble...

but Arkansas's WRs are pretty weak... they do have a very good TE though... will create mismatch issues for our safeties and LBs in the middle.
