but I imagine he's a little busy with his new restaurant.
I mean the guy was an All-SEC punter & kicker, consensus All-American, finalist for the Lou Groza Award, & a CFL All-Star. Surely he would be a great coach.

So you don't think it's moronic and stupid to believe that Auburn should hire a proven college coach instead of just throwing money at a former player that has never coached a single second in college? All because he was a really really good player and he loves Auburn? Let's hire Marcus McNeil to coach the OL while we're at it. Maybe we can get Damon Duval to coach ST. Or Cadillac. I mean, he's already at Auburn. Let's just make him the RB coach and pay him 6 figures.
Pat Sullivan was selling insurance before Pat Dye called to make him quartebacks coach.

I know a couple that are opening it up with him. Hope for the best for them but I don't know if they will end up doing well w

I didnt know much about Barrow besides his playing days at the U so I went to Miami's scout forum to see what they were saying. In my opinion it's usually a good barometer of a coaching hire to read from the former school

If this is true It's a great move for Auburn as they will not only be getting a great coach and great recruiter but a quality human being.

Absolute truth. My cousin had classes with him at UM. Had nothing but great things to say about his character.

mike played over a decade in the NFL, and probably has still saved most of his first ever paycheck. not one of the guys out at strip clubs every night throwing money at the feet of his posse.

I have no opinion on Spikes becoming a LB coach, but imagine being the guy that had to look him in the eyes and tell him no.

So what is the consensus here? I was reading the Miami boards and some seem to really like him as a coach but others say he was overrated. Could be rustled jimmies though.

What I can tell you is that every indication was that Muschamp would coach linebackers. There was also reports that a hire wouldn't be made until after the Sunday coaching convention. Both of those plans changing tells me that Muschamp really wants Barrow.

Definitely didn't look at it that way, very interesting.

If we know one thing, Will Muschamp loves himself some Price's BBQ.
