How many programs have beaten 5, #1 teams?
No idea. That's my point. I figured bearing 5 #1 is pretty good

I think UF was ranked #5 in 1993. I remember being there and everything about the game other than the rankings.

I was there. I think I am still hungover from the after party.

I was in the South Pacific listening to in on Armed Forces Radio like I did with the Iron bowl that year. Day ahead in the middle of the night...LOL

UF was top 5 in 93.
Pretty sure in '94 they were ranked #1 when AU beat them. And if I'm not mistaken, Spurrier was undefeated at home, so AU was his first loss at the swamp (which he also named by the way).

Don't forget to add a reminder for Alpine. Chicken / Dhillip said upvotes would matter. Support for Alpine reinstatement was 33 for, 3 against. That should fricking matter. Jang, you are good at calling out liars - how about lighting into Chicken and Dhillip on behalf of the board? Never to Yield!

This indicates the 1942 UGA team was #1 when we beat them. It doesn't say AP #1.

If this is accurate, it's 6-12, not 5-12.
I remember a graphic during the ABC broadcast of the UF game in 1994 titled "Trouble vs #1" indicating we were 1-6 all time vs #1. We were behind UF at that point in the game. At the time, I assumed UA in 1972 was the other one, but they were #2.
