I do like how our "insiders" post in these threads, but were nowhere to be seen during the season answering questions about players, etc.

I feel like there's no way you push Rhett out unless you have a pretty specific person or set of people in mind.

I don't think they forced Rhett out. I think he knew he had to leave if he ever wanted a career as anything other than Gus' sidekick.

And took a 300k paycut to do it? Doesn't sound likely

Praise Jesus. Now our short bus posters will look to Garrick McGee because he coached under Bobby P 10 years ago.

The talk was that Rhett was going to be demoted and another QB/OC would be brought in even had he stayed. He "left" on his own, but he was definitely pushed out. Fountain's name has been brought up again as a guy who might get replaced after NSD as well.

Good.

I'd be fine with either Gilbert or Lindsey.

From what I've read it sounds like Gus wants Lindsey but is having trouble convincing the higher ups to pony up enough money to get him. He evidently has a decent sized buyout and the people with money as of yet aren't willing to pay what it would take.

Ugh. I really don't blame Gus for wanting Lindsey or the higher ups not wanting to pony up for him. Tough decision there.

I really hope this doesn't turn into the DC search again. Steele is working out but we got lucky considering all the people that apparently turned it down. I worry that coaches are a little wary of the whole situation. I don't blame them either.
