Friend was the link to Hunter. I like Alston but not sure he’s a top tier RB1
I still like Caddy but I worry about the RB room a lot and have worried about it for a few years now

quote:I didn't/don't think Alston will be that good either. Same with Story. I'm dissapointed that we won't replace Story with Pyburn, but not upset AU isn't signing Story.
Alston will not be the running back many thinks he will be.
Not worried at all with AU's RB room even with Alston and if Citizen chooses LSU.

Shred I’ve never coached at that level. I could offer opinions but it would be just that. But if it were me I’d delegate what could be and lock down doing the best job I could on the things I could do like hiring staffing and such. Then put your nose to grind and work outside of coaching change season.
Harsin might be a good coach just a lot of shot has went wrong by his own doing. We close out games we win more games you don’t lose your starting QB WR. You don’t have to burn your get out jail free card on the OC after 1 year. This was a very talented team to go 6-7. With LSUs problems UGA Bama were the only teams that completely outmanned us in experienced talent. ATm was more talented but not as experienced. Talent level really drops off from last year to this upcoming year. Not sure where we will fall but I would assume somewhere around 19ish on team composite. I think we were 14 this year. That’s a big difference that doesn’t sound like much

Anyone have any leads for new OC other than Dameyune Craig and Kiseau (turned it down in the past)

We always have found RBs, I'm more worried about the OL now than I have been in a while.

I’d have rather had Judkins then Alston and we should be signing a higher rated and talented back then both of them every year

Keep the negativity flowing I gotta get to practice. Day 1 boys. Second practice we practiced at midnight last night 12:01. Those 7th grader on the middle school team were a little shocked.

Would have liked more success in the portal for OL to give us time to develop the young guys we get, and for depth. Depth there has me pretty concerned

I think the Davis thing seems so strange because we don’t know everything.
Something has to be going on in the young man’s life, that wasn’t apparent to CBH in the interview process. Life can change in a day, a week, so I’d love some more insight into his personal situation.

This whole thing is weird. Davis gets screened and hired, and never shows up.
Mason and Bobo are gone. I really don’t know when I’ve ever seen this much turnover, and a revolving door at AU. It would be different if they were being promoted to bigger jobs/programs, but it feels like everyday we have some new drama.

I'm thinking we don't know and probably won't because it is personal/family matter. He wouldn't have gotten to this point and not understand the commitment it would be, and if he did we probably wouldn't have wanted him to stay any longer. Timing sucks, but not sure there is a good time for it to happen.
Now if he resurfaces somewhere else in 2 weeks that will make me wonder

What were the contractual terms? Do we know? Any clawback provisions due to the less than adequate departure situation ?

Y’all done turned Jones pessimistic. What have y’all done

Would Mason try to bring Etheridge with him?

Great locker room video from Bruce in 2015:

Harsin probably isn’t the answer, but I will get up every morning and put my hard hat on to be a fanatic. Whether it be getting pissed, or disappointed, or top of the world exuberance, or any other emotion, It’s all a part of being an Auburn fan. Bruce won’t let me let up on the lukewarm pussies on the board: blzr, 251, and SS, so y’all are SOL.
