- Preaching to team to stay hungry and humble.
- As far as the ranking goes, Pearl says Auburn should be No. 1 based on the resume. Not saying Auburn is best team in country.
- Our guys know the starts before. Our guys knew we were 1-2 at home against Florida. We were 1-4 against Ole Miss ... They know we split the last two seasons against Georgia."
- On focusing on Georgia and not Kentucky: "Calling it for what it is: it is a trap game. But it is against our rival." Says he can point out to Saturday night when Ole Miss came out punching for the first 17 minutes.
Pearl mentions talking about the elevated play from opponents due to the prize on Auburn's head.
- On Auburn fans: "I think it is unbelievable." Pearl says he was texting with Bryan Harsin and saying fans are trying to travel like Auburn football fans. Says Frank Martin noticed it at South Carolina.
- "Instrumental in our road wins." - On fans traveling to road games.
- "Defensive rebounding wins championships. Defense travels." - on his team's defensive play so far. "Huge part of our success." Tigers played some zone against both Alabama and Ole Miss.
- On UGA: "They do a great job of getting downhill. They shoot more free throws than anyone in our league." Have a couple of good transfers from USC, Gonzaga and JUCO. Tom Crean teams always play hard.
- "We won't shorten it any more than that." - on paying 9-10 players. Says he is big on being fresh at end of the half, end of game and end of the season.

That zone we ran in the first half against ole miss got lit the F up… but it prob didn’t matter what we were doing.

I don’t know if it was bc we were down so much early on the road, but that’s the shortest our bench has been all season… Lior and Moore didn’t play, and Williams barely played….
May have had to do with how fast the game was too… and staying out of foul trouble.

Pearl might know what he has and might be a little more defensive. It didn’t work but he did actually call a timeout during one of their runs

Well we have our name for the traveling fans. The team calls them Witnesses so I will refer to them as that as well.

I always liked that Bruce used to get T'd up during the Final 4 Year when the opponent was on a run as a way of getting the team back in check.

Also, after all they gave, and how they were so high against us, I expected a very down team, after playing us...
You could tell that even on their ft %s, which was terrible against Mizz.
Mentally drained...
And we survived again a team shooting to shoot us down..

Agreed. I bet Mizzou last night as a 7 point underdog expecting this exact thing. They had 3 guys play 35+ minutes against us. And shot only 38% from the FT line after shooting 100% against Auburn.
