You think this team has the fortitude to win the regional? Honest question.
No. We don’t make a super if our offense doesn’t show better energy and clutch hitting. Only of a few of our guys right now are pulling their weight. We need others to be clutch.

We shouldn't be, but it is what it is.

We held our own fate and lost 3 of 4. Not sure how one could argue if we aren’t a national seed.

Probably more reasons not to be in the top 16 seeds then to be in the top 16. We have a losing record over the past month. Our RPI is the only thing that remotely should be in consideration for a host seed. I said it 2 months ago we needed to be around 18 conference wins to get a 1 seed. Alpine and I discussed it a couple times. He thought 15-16 wins would assure us a 1 and I thought somewhere between 18-20 wins.
I still hope we get a 1 but in reality we probably deserve to be a higher seeded 2.

Agree rig.
The last few series.
UT 1-2
Ark 1-2
Bama 2-0
UK 1-2
Sec tourney (UK) 0-1.
We should be proud of this team but they aren’t world beaters. It was always going to be an offensive team and when we face elite pitching or as we have gotten to the past month chasing bad pitches then we started losing those close games. Maybe the longer break can get back to some hitting fundamentals and start stroking it again.

Phillip Marshall made a good point that if we are #15-#16 and host, that means we'll be in Knoxville or Corvalis for the Super if we were to advance. So, it might be better to be a strong 2 seed and get a weaker Super match-up. Need to get the bats going again to advance though, regardless of seeding.

LSU is in complete meltdown mode which makes me very happy
Posted on 5/29/22 at 8:23 pm to CorchJay
Neither LSU nor Arkansas are hosting
Posted on 5/29/22 at 8:33 pm to Rig
I have no clue how we are hosting over Arkansas but frick LSU. Only reason they were the 4 seed was because we didn’t finish the 3rd game against Bama.

Ausome news, now lets go win it.

Anyone know when tickets will be available?

If projections are correct, we can beat Stanford in Super assuming we advance. They have one decent starter but he’s not elite. Good bullpen but no one blows you away with stuff. Deep batting lineup with 6 or so guys at .300+. Some pop in the bats but they are not UT, LSU, or aTm.

quote:They are available already ($75) on the auburntigers website if you have an account. Its free to sign up. However, the tickets that are left are Sections 1-4 and Sections 61-73. Those sight lines are pretty bad that far down the lines so personally I'll probably use StubHub.

NCAA Baseball Tickets - All Sessions - Auburn
EDIT: FYI, I just went back and checked and a couple of seats just popped up in the front row in Section 111 . I snagged those and they were $85 each... $75 + a $10 "order fee"
