Milb.com is your friend. Lindsey Crosby works for SI and does a ton for minor league ball on Twitter.

Great, thank you. I am a little familiar with him from his weekly appearances on Locked On with Zac. Will check it out.

Tim Wakefield dies
When i was a baseball fan i used to be mesmerized by his knuckleball.
He was 57.

It's preseason but AU lost both games in the exhibition to bama Friday night. Two 7 inning games. Lost 5-2 and 10-0.
Game 1 - Will Cannon gave up 5 in the first inning of the first game, including 3 hr. Next 6 pitchers only allowed 4 singles the rest of the way. Looks like AU only had 4 hits with Irish having two of them.
Game 2 - AU had 1 hit in the last inning to avoid a no hitter. bama scored 10 off 7 hits.
Haven't found much on the pitching stats but exhibition or not, only having 5 hits in 14 innings is pretty bad.

Alright, I guess it's around the time we talk about fall ball.
First, I updated the thread with the new SEC schedule and the fall ball roster. I don't know when our OOC schedule will be announced, but I'm hoping we play in a tournament hosted somewhere nice.
This year, we're pretty stacked, the incoming classes are great and HCT is a good recruiter. Incoming Freshman (yes that includes the redshirts) and the Sophomores are god damn good. However this kinda leads to a problem: inexperience and wobbly starts and we kinda saw that @ Bama. Game 1, we flashed a little bit of the talent against them, and it was pretty close. I don't know what happened during Game 2, slow start matched with inexperience did all the talking, I suppose
We weren't the only ones that looked not that good in our fall game, Vandy also looked not that impressive and their hauling in a new class as well.
This year, the SEC will be pretty god damn tough. Alabama looks good with their new HC and staff, and I guess they finally found out that Buchanan wasn't right for the job. Georgia rebounded by hiring Wes Johnson, the pitching coach at LSU, and is doing a good job at recruiting. I think the Mississippi schools rebound as well.
Those are my thoughts

Auburn is playing Troy at Toyota Field in Huntsville on March 12th. Really nice venue to watch a game. I just snagged 6 seats directly behind the home dugout for $17 a ticket

People fought hard to keep this thread pinned in the offseason. Crickets for months. Softball has already played their first games and still crickets.

That's a disappointing start for softball, but this is the baseball thread.
