Auburn baseball question

My wife and I are going to be heading down to Auburn tomorrow to catch the last AU/LSU baseball game. The Hotel at Auburn is pet friendly so we are going to be bringing our dog down with us. This creates a problem that we wouldnt be able to check in to the hotel since it is a 1:00 game. Obviously the park is not dog friendly so can't take him in there. Are there any other places that we would be able to watch the game from outside the park where we would be able to tailgate and have our dog with us? If i remember correctly the outfield area is now gone because of the new dorms. I had also seen that some people watch from the parking deck on 3rd base line.
Any suggestions?

apparently so.
Best case is if we could check in early and put the dog in the room so we could be in the park. Still waiting on word of that, so I am just planning ahead if we cant.

Absolutely no disrespect at all meant by my reply but you have not been to Plainsman Park in a long time have you? There is a good sized grassy area fenced behind Tiger Terrace on the 3rd base side just in front of the parking deck that IS pet friendly and FREE. So you can bring the pooch, a couple lawn chairs, a cooler, sandwiches or a small grill watch the game and have a great day.
Bear in mind though that if we lose today and both UT and UGA win today then tomorrow's game means nothing as we will have been completely eliminated from post season play.

I havent been in ten years Thank you sir! I hadn't read about that area on all the sites I have read so I very much appreciate the info.
As far as this game having meaning, my wife is an LSU alum, she has been wanting to see Auburns campus so it is a combination of enjoying a baseball game while also getting to show her around.

If we are still alive tomorrow for the SEC Tourney I would recommend getting there early cuz it may get crowded. With Summer classes starting back today it may be crowded anyway with the students back. I would recommend getting there no later than noon to ensure you have a good viewing spot.

Will do. Just an additional question, is having beer a big no no? Should you just be discrete? This will be a first ever tailgating for a non football day so not sure of the right protocol for baseball tailgating.
Also are the blackout screens on the fences shown here new or old? LINK

When we go to the beach, it ends up costing us more to board the dogs than it does for us to stay at the beach. fricked up.
