The government mandate is 12/8. That is why AU is doing it. They are required.

Because Auburn will lose over $200m in Federal funding.

I really like Harsin but for $200m we could hire Bill Belichick and Nick Saban to be Co head coaches

No. They are just being threatened by the federal government and being forced to do it.

Not true. Any research institute would have to comply if u have any federal contracts. Just get the damn thing and be done with it

It’s not the Tuskegee research project

Did you cheer for Auburn during Coach Dye's tenure?

Choosing to attack the late Pat Dye's character and using it as moral grounds in an argument?

You are a classless individual bro

To be fair Coach Dye gave me my shot at Auburn. You drug morality into it over money as if it hasn't always been that way. Hell, Coach knew that.

We are a research institute. It is an executive order. We have to comply.

It’s ok to not like it but we have laws. I have to follow it aon a project, sucks but part of the order.

Nope!

Putting words in someone's mouth that they didn't share is childish.

You're thinking of two different groups. But yes, I believe Tubs was a member at Auburn Church of Christ. Church of Christ, Scientist is very different though.

Auburn is a school first. The football program is one small part of the school, even from a financial standpoint, and Harsin is one employee in that one department. We aren't Alabama.

You said morality > money...that's never been the case at the level of sports Auburn plays. I only used Coach Dye's tenure because it's documented. I also happen to have personal knowledge. I don't fault him. In fact I have a great deal of respect and thanks for him.

Federal funding that is taken from the people in the States via taxes to feed the Federal government and then ‘given’ back to the states with conditions.

Highway money is the perfect example of this. Remember when Feds held money hostage over the drinking age?
