I'm pretty sure Bruce had the say so on who was coming.

Steven literally said "...we cannot get into a 3 point contest against Alabama because that's what they do really well."

He followed that up by shooting 5 more threes than they did.

You honestly think he'd say anything different?

Would you?

I wouldn't, not preseason, nor when just being handed the keys.

That's coach speak (even if it true).

Taken the lead on portal recruiting doesn't mean he gets to make the final call

I thought we had a chance against them at home. We kept it close. Our D wasn't good in the 2nd half, but they made some crazy shots. They were over 50% from 3. They are better than we are. I hope we can keep it competitive in Tuscaloosa.

Our guards played much better on offense, but their D in the 2nd half wasn't good at any level.

UNC/Duke....UNC had 1 foul in the whole 2nd half.

Not one team I wanted to win won yesterday...

Regardless if BP was coaching, I don’t think we’d see much difference. I thought that was best bama has played.

We should make NCAA unless a full melt after a huge rebuild, only bringing back 1. We missed on a couple Portal guys and that’s why we r here.

We’ll learn more about SP after the season - can he hold on to core guys and who he brings in.

Yeah people are clinging on prayers that some of the actual good recruits we wanted Bruce wouldn't let us get...

Now flip the script.

We got players that wanted to play for Bruce Pearls clout.

Whether players will run to play for Bruce's son is still a mystery.

Lastly, we can only hope SP's staff stays together.

I do. And even if we believe Bruce let Steven make the call, it's ultimately on Bruce for leaving the situation

Bruce deservng his pile of stink is without a doubt.

But I can say that and appreciate his services as HC.

I am not one of those auburn weirdos that can't compartmentalize their feelings.

Just seems like this team is missing one key element even as it comes on and tries to find its identity. No outstanding big who can dominate, block shots and do what Broom did.

We are missing about three players iyam.

7 man rotation leaves our roster already with holes tired and holding defensive intensity in reserve.

We are missing one more PG, another big, and a more game ready 3 and D

If the standard is being final 4 good then sure. I think it's a rim protector or a Denver Jones from being the best team in the league though.

The standard is to not have one of the worst defenses in the conference in defensive efficiency.

Our guys are giving up 54% floor percentage in the last three games and our defensive efficiency is 241st in the country.

Auburn is also last in the SEC in giving up 35.7% Team Opponent 3 point percentage which is abysmal.

If that's your standard then my point still stands. A Denver Jones or a rim protector from being solid. 69th in Adj. Efficiency isn't terrible

I don't mess with fake stats boy.

I saw Bama do what Texas couldnt finish. Along with the better teams that literally did whatever they wanted to us.

Florida and Tennessee are 3 pointer averse.
