Montgomery doesn't support local breweries or the local brewers have no business sense?

I tend to agree.

Yeah IPAs seem to be kind of trendy now. I've probably tried 25+ different IPAs over the years and I just can't do the hops.

Heavy but good. Not something I'd drink every week but definitely worth a shot when it's available. If you get it on tap, the peanut butter favor is a little stronger. In bottle, it gets sweeter over time.

more the former i suppose. we use to have some good breweries but they eventually just die off. I really don't think there are enough people here who like good beer. there are several places that have great beer selections... Derk's, the butcher block, the tipping point, etc.. but i don't know, breweries just flop here

i've never brewed beer so I don't really know much about the industry, but i just think there isn't a big enough market here

I'm stuck in Gulfport Mississippi for a navy expeditionary combat skills school. Woof. can't drink any alcohol on the weekdays because we shoot every day. I made it to Auburn last weekend and went out at least, ladies everywhere for graduation.

anyways, I was in Boston recently and if any of you guys like dark beer get the Mayflower Porter. it's awesome. also SoCal, where I live, has a lot of good microbrews if any of you venture to the land of hot ladies

Went on a walk after work with the wife, the 7 month old kid, and the beagle.

Stopped in at the local eatery and had a Great Raft (the new local microbrew). Not a bad way to end the day.

Lanier,

Send me some swimming jigs (1/4 & 1/2 solid white and solid black). I love the Davis swim jig, but they are hard to find and expensive.

Id love too. Except for the fact that I don't make swim jigs.

I have casting jigs which are not really swim jigs. Ihave white though. I have football jigs as well.

I have guys who use my white jigs as swim jigs but its not marketed as a swim jig..

Sorry. Contact me if you want to see one of them.

Late to the party, but I wanted to throw my support behind the Lime or Strawberry Rita's. Drank several one night pretty quickly, because they go down so easy, and got hammered like someone flicked a switch.

Also, can't believe nobody put a vote in for Fat Tire. It's my current go to (if I hadn't been at baseball practice while everyone here was drinking)

It's not great, but I normally have a couple in the fridge at any given time. I think it's going down the same route of Sweetwater Blue/420. When Sweetwater started expanding their market beyond Georgia, everyone started drinking it. Then people got bored of those 2 brews. Fat Tire became readily available in Alabama around Christmas I think...now the market is pretty saturated.

I think this is true too. I guess I haven't burned out on it yet since it's only been my go-to for a couple of months. I like it because it's got a decent ABV%, and I usually drink it as something lighter after starting with a couple of stouts.

Very late to the party but I was with you in spirt(s). No beer for me, that is like eating a loaf of bread and I gave up carbs.

My wife says "let's go eat out on the lake". Took the waverunner instead of the boat. One vodka and soda at dinner. One martini at home with two glasses of wine to clean the palette.
Then early to bed.

So does the low carb diet really shed the weight? I do everything else eat right, box, strength train but I cannot give up the beer its fukin hard. Trying to do it this month to see if I actually works. I'm not overweight but maintain the current weight and trying to rip the abs like I used to have.
